Nicole Kidman is celebrating motherhood with a heartfelt tribute to the people who matter most to her.
The actress marked Mother’s Day by sharing a rare photo with daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, offering fans an intimate glimpse into her life as a mom.
Kidman’s Sweet Post
The touching post comes months after reports surfaced that Kidman and longtime husband Keith Urban ended their marriage following nearly two decades together.
On Sunday, May 10, the actress took to Instagram to post a sweet throwback image featuring herself and her daughters, whom she shares with Urban.
In the photo, Kidman appears outdoors in nature with both girls, all dressed in soft white and cream tones.
The Oscar winner smiled while giving one daughter a piggyback ride and looking affectionately toward the other in a candid family moment.
“To my beautiful girls, the greatest joy is being your mother,” Kidman captioned the post. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in the world 🩷🩷🩷.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments section with supportive messages, praising the actress and wishing her a happy Mother’s Day.
Many simply filled the comments with heart emojis, while others celebrated the rare family glimpse.
Kidman Keeps Her Children Mainly Out of the Spotlight
Kidman tends to keep her children largely out of the spotlight, making the personal post especially meaningful for longtime followers.
In addition to Sunday and Faith, Kidman is also mom to daughter Bella and son Connor, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
While the actress has remained relatively private about her personal life, Kidman has spoken openly about the close bond she shares with her daughters.
Earlier this year, the “Big Little Lies” star shared one of her unique parenting habits during an appearance at a live speaker event with journalist Hoda Kotb, according to People.
“Both my daughters will kill me for saying this,” Nicole told Kotb in April, “but I’m like, ‘You need to hug [me] for two minutes a day.’”
“It releases certain chemicals in the body,” she added, “and everyone needs to be hugged for about two minutes a day.”
Kidman also described parenting teenagers as an “extraordinary” experience and revealed just how strong their connection has become over the years.
“[We’re] so close, the three of us, we talk about everything,” she shared.
For the actress, that closeness often comes from showing up in small but meaningful ways.
“It means sitting on the end of their bed, when they say, ‘Come in here, sit down,’” she explained. “And you go in, and you’re exhausted, and you sit down and you listen. And I always say, ‘Do you want me to give you advice now, or are you just sort of venting?’”
Sunday Opened Up About Her Famous Parents
Sunday has also spoken publicly about growing up with famous parents.
During an interview with NYLON, the teen model revealed that Kidman and Urban established clear boundaries before she entered the fashion industry.
“The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16, and the second is that school always has to come first,” Sunday shared, adding that while she initially disliked the rules, she now appreciates them because they help keep her “in a good mindset.”
Even amid life changes, Kidman’s latest post made one thing crystal clear: family remains at the center of her world.
