‘The Blind Side’ Actor’s Family Restricts Hospital Visits From His Wife As He Recovers

Quinton Aaron, who is best known for portraying Michael Oher in the 2009 Oscar-nominated film, “The Blind Side,” was hospitalized at the end of January following a fall at his home. It was then revealed that the actor was found to have a severe blood infection as well as a rare cyst on his spine.

And throughout it all, his wife, Margarita Aaron, has been by his side at the hospital. However, the family revealed recently in a statement to US Weekly on Tuesday, Feb. 3, that they have “raised some suspicions about the legitimacy of Quinton and Margarita’s marriage to each other, as well as her legitimacy as a registered nurse. We have found some alarming details.”

The family stated that they “believe Margarita isn’t who she claimed to be to us.”

Margarita then responded to the claims, saying that she and Quinton “got spiritually married,” TMZ reports. She added that she does not have power of attorney and has not made any medical decision on behalf of Quinton.

Margarita Aaron Is ‘Banned’ From Quinton’s Hospital Room

An insider who spoke with US Weekly revealed that Margarita, who claimed she is “spiritually married’ to Quinton, is not allowed in his hospital room due to the family’s investigations.

“I’m OK with it, I’m at peace with this. Quinton and I pray a lot and believe in God and believe in a higher power. I can feel his presence telling me this will work itself out,” Margarita told the outlet regarding her ban.

The source added that Quinton is “not talking” at this moment, so he hasn’t been able to ask about Margarita.

Quinton Aaron’s Family Released A Statement At The End Of January

Shortly after news broke that Aaron was admitted to the hospital and placed on life support, his family released a statement, updating fans on how he’s doing.

“We acknowledge that you’ve heard about Quinton Aaron‘s condition,” the family said in a statement (per People). “We appreciate the overwhelming love, support and prayers that Quinton has received over the past few days from his fans, the public, and our concerned community.”

“To update everyone, he had a spinal stroke. He is alert, aware and recovering,” they added. “The Aaron family has a lot to deal with for the betterment of their loved one. But will be sure to keep everyone posted regarding Quinton‘s health as we see fit.”
