The death certificates for Rob and Michele Reiner have been released, providing some additional information on the star couple’s tragic passing.
Specifically, TMZ reports that Rob and Michele were both cremated at Mount Sinai Mortuary, with their final resting place being at their son Jake’s home.
Rob and Michele’s son, Nick, is currently facing murder charges in his parents’ deaths. He is one of Rob and Michele’s three children. Rob also adopted his daughter, Tracy, during his first marriage to Penny Marshall.

Getty“Jake and Romy Reiner remain grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received,” a new statement from the siblings’ spokesperson told PEOPLE on Monday, Dec. 22. “They will share information about a memorial service honoring their parents at a later date.”
PEOPLE also reported that the actor’s friends are showing support for his other children, with Billy Crystal and Albert Brooks among the people who have been there for Jake and Romy.
“Rob and Michele were beloved in Hollywood and their friends like Billy Crystal and Albert Brooks are truly like family and fiercely protective,” a source told the outlet, who added that Jake and Romy “will never be alone as they try to face this.”
“They are being incredibly strong and have a huge support system they can lean on,” they continued.
And with that, the source also provided some additional insight into how the Jake and Romy are dealing with this horrible tragedy.
“It’s of course been a huge shock to the system. This nightmare came out of nowhere for them, but they’ve been surrounded with support since the second they found out,” they said to PEOPLE.
Rob & Michele Reiner ‘Tried So Hard’ to Help Nick Reiner
When speaking with PEOPLE, one insider has provided some additional details on the efforts Rob and Michele went to to help their son, Nick, with his substance abuse struggles. Specifically, they “tried so hard already for years” to help Nick, but he “didn’t take the support seriously.”
Another insider told the outlet, “At the end of the day, Nick didn’t take the help seriously. This was true for years and years. His issues were far, far out of his parents’ control.”
“Nick lied a lot. He was unreliable, but he was also convincing and intelligent,” the insider added. “His family was empathetic to how much his struggles contributed to his behavior. They never lost hope in him, even when he was scaring them or making their lives harder.”

I freely admit to not knowing very much about Mr Reiner and his wife but I DO know this was a tragedy – what I DO know of Mr Reiner is that he ******-off Trump big style and for that I hope he knew that he had the admiration, respect and thanks from countless millions around the world !

Also, this heinous crime is NEVER an acceptable act and to feel admiration toward one’s murderer, especially under these rare and horrendous circumstances, shows pure evil in your own heart. I may not like any given POTUS at a certain time but would never celebrate and THANK his murderer. You are a sick individual!!

I’m not a Trump fan, but this has nothing to do with Trump. This has to do with the brutal murder of their son who suffered from addiction and mental illness and the loss of two wonderful people.

We should pray for Rob, Michelle and their families, relatives and friends. Also pray for Nick as he has many, many problems. Pray that he gets the help he needs.
I pray for Nick Reiner! I pray that if he indeed is this horrible thing to his mother and father, I pray that as soon as he is found guilty that they execute him in a way that he will enjoy! Give him an overdose of fentanyl! Not 30 or 40 years from now, but pretty much immediately!
It’s so sad that Rob Reiner and his wife passed away.. I just hope that Nick should put to death penalty immediately for what he did to his good parents and they have been try everything to help Nick for years! Nick must die!
Rob the Michelle worked tirelessly to help their son who they loved very much. Addiction and mental illness are intertwined. The family is not advocating for the death penalty for their son, Nick, and we should respect their wishes. Prayers for healing and peace for their family.
