Savannah Guthrie Bravely Reveals How She Is Coping With the Painful Disappearance of Her Mom Nancy

Savannah Guthrie made an emotional return to NBC’s ‘Today’ studio on March 5, marking her first visit back since her beloved mother, Nancy Guthrie, disappeared earlier this year.

Today reported that the longtime co-anchor stopped by to reconnect with colleagues and thank the team who have supported her and her family during the difficult weeks since her mother vanished. While in Arizona, Savannah shared several updates on Instagram as the search for her mother continued into its second month.

However, in a first major appearance outside of Tucson, inside Studio 1A at Rockefeller Center, the longtime co-anchor reunited with colleagues and members of the production team.

Her longtime colleagues had supported her during the difficult weeks that followed her mother’s disappearance.

Savannah Guthrie Shows Gratitude to ‘Today’ Colleagues for Their Support

People reported that Savannah took a moment to personally thank the staff and crew for the love, prayers, and encouragement they had extended to her family.

The visit was emotional but heartfelt. Savannah shared her gratitude for the way her colleagues have stood beside her while the search for Nancy continues, acknowledging how much their compassion and support have meant during such an uncertain time.

While addressing the group, Savannah spoke openly about how she has been coping during the ongoing search.

According to a report in Today, Savannah shared kind, hopeful words with her longtime colleagues.

“I wanted you to know that I’m still standing, and I still have hope, and I’m still me. And I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be. I’m holding onto my faith. I still believe. And as my mom would say, ‘where else would I go?’”

Her words reflected both the uncertainty she is facing and the strength she is trying to hold on to during this difficult time.

Savannah also spoke about her desire to return to the show when the time feels right.

“I have every intention of coming back. I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family. And, I would like to try.”

Dylan Dreyer Leads Prayer as ‘Today’ Team Shows Support

The emotional gathering also included a moment of prayer led by Savannah’s friend and colleague Dylan Dreyer.

Dreyer invited those in the studio to join hands as she began a group prayer for Savannah and her family.

“We’re here holding hands as a family, in a place where we don’t understand why this is happening…. It is not too bold to ask God for the biggest miracles every day.”

The quiet moment brought the team together as they reflected on the ongoing search and the hope of finding Nancy. See more photos from Savannah’s emotional visit here, as obtained by Page Six.

Emotional Studio Reunion Ends With Hugs and Gratitude

The report added that before leaving the studio, Savannah made her way around the room, embracing colleagues and members of the crew who had stood by her during the difficult weeks since her mother’s disappearance.

The brief visit became a deeply meaningful reunion between the longtime anchor and the team she has worked alongside for years. Though the search for Nancy Guthrie continues, Savannah’s return to the studio reflected the strong support surrounding her.

For those inside Studio 1A, the moment carried a quiet mix of emotion, faith, and hope.
