As the case involving “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother Nancy Guthrie continues, fans are looking for details on her family and other personal connections. Many fans are familiar with her current husband and children, but do not realize she was previously married to another journalist named Mark Orchard.
Guthrie has been married to her current husband, Michael Feldman, since 2014. However, she did have one marriage prior to falling in love with Feldman. Although Guthrie has kept many details of the split private, she has talked in the past about how difficult the divorce was.

Mark Orchard Works in Journalism Like Savannah Guthrie
Orchard is a journalist, like Guthrie. He has worked for media outlets such as the BBC and Al Jazeera.
According to Primetimer, Orchard currently works as a senior broadcast producer on the show “Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson.” His LinkedIn page indicates he began with “Full Measure” in September 2016.
Before joining “Full Measure,” Orchard worked with Al Jazeera English and Al Jazeera America for about a decade. During his time with the BBC, Orchard covered big stories such as natural disasters and political topics.
Primetimer noted that from 2006 to 2013 Orchard worked on Al Jazeera English. Then, from 2013 to 2016, he worked on Al Jazeera America.
Orchard is originally from the United Kingdom. He attended University College London and pursued journalism via a job with the British broadcaster Independent Television News (ITN). He worked with ITN from 1992 to 1996.
Orchard left ITN to work as a senior field producer for BBC News, where he was from 1996 to 2006.
In recent years, Orchard has been based in the Washington, D.C. area for work.
He worked as a reporter in front of the camera for several years before shifting to production work behind the cameras.
Guthrie and Orchard first met when they were both covering the Michael Jackson trial in 2005. At the time, Primetimer noted, he was married to another reporter, Anne Kornblut.
Savannah Guthrie Said Her Divorce Broke Her Heart
In July, Guthrie did an episode of the podcast, “Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky.” Over the years, Guthrie hasn’t spoken much about her divorce. During that podcast episode, however, she did open up a bit about it.
Guthrie admitted that her divorce was “the one thing I didn’t ever want to talk about.” She explained, “Some of it was just too personal and too embarrassing.”
“It was horrible and sad, and it broke my heart, and it took my years to recover,” Guthrie continued. She added, “I’m not blaming anyone, but I don’t really want to get into it.”
