Shirley MacLaine is embracing lifeโs simple pleasures as she heads into another milestone year.
Just days before celebrating her 92nd birthday on April 24, the Hollywood legend was spotted enjoying a relaxed lunch outing in Malibu.
Page Six captured MacLaine leaving a local restaurant on April 18, linking arms with a companion as she made her way out.
MacLaine Had a Nice Lunch Outing
Dressed comfortably in a long brown cardigan layered over a matching top and pants, she completed the look with black glassesโeffortlessly casual yet unmistakably iconic.
The sighting is just the latest example of MacLaineโs fondness for laid-back coastal lunches.
In late March, she was seen smiling brightly while enjoying oysters and a beer at another Malibu spot.
Wearing a mint green hoodie, she appeared cheerful and at ease, even posing with her fork mid-bite.
Earlier this year, she also made a daytime appearance at the celebrity hotspot Nobu Malibu, again stepping out with a companion.
While her outings may seem low-key, they reflect a lifestyle that MacLaine has long credited for her longevityโmovement, discipline and a deep connection to the arts.
โI started my dance training at age three and stopped at about 67. It taught me discipline, loving music, working with people and dealing with pain,โ she once shared with People.
That early foundation in dance continues to shape her approach to life well into her 90s.
And slowing down doesnโt appear to be part of the plan.
MacLaine Has An Upcoming Role
MacLaine is set to star in the upcoming film โMargret and Stevie,โdirected by Matthew Weiner and written by Stephanie Gillis.
The project will see her take on a leading role inspired by Margret Rey, the co-creator of the beloved Curious George seriesโyet another addition to a career that has already spanned more than six decades.
Her filmography includes over 50 movies, highlighted by her Academy Award-winning performance in โTerms of Endearment.โ
Over the years, she has also earned multiple Emmy nominations and Golden Globe wins, including the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.
Even in recent years, MacLaine has remained a steady presence on screen, appearing in projects like โOnly Murders in the Buildingโ and films such as โAmerican Dreamer,โ โNoelle,โ and โThe Last Word.โ
Her continued work reflects both her passion and her enduring relevance in Hollywood.
Beyond acting, her contributions to dance have also been formally recognized.
In December 2025, she was honored at the Dance Hall of Fameโs inaugural ceremony in Los Angeles, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award named in her honor, according to Page Six.
For MacLaine, the recognition held special meaning.
โGetting an award for dancing is the most important acknowledgement I could have,โ she said, emphasizing how ballet shaped her discipline, resilience and creativity.
As she celebrates 92 years, MacLaineโs recent Malibu outings offer a glimpse into a life still filled with joy, artistry and connection.
Whether sheโs enjoying a meal by the ocean or preparing for her next role, she continues to embody a rare combination of longevity and passionโproving that age is no barrier to living fully.
