Tom Brady is celebrating an important moment for his eldest son, Jack Moynahan.
The retired NFL star shared an emotional message on August 22 for Jack’s 19th birthday, reflecting on the joy his son has brought to his life.
Tom welcomed Jack with his former partner, “Blue Bloods” actress Bridget Moynahan, in 2007.
Tom Brady Shared a Heartfelt Birthday Tribute
Tom celebrated Jack by posting a carousel of family photographs on Instagram.
“Happy 19th birthday, Jack!” he began. “Aug 22, 2007 is a day I’ll never forget, because that’s when you showed up and stole my heart.”
Tom playfully added that his son also stole his sleep and patience, then praised the person Jack has become.
“You’re kind, thoughtful, empathetic, and full of love,” he wrote. “And I’m so proud of who you have become.”
The seven-time Super Bowl champion said Jack continues to fill his heart with joy and described himself as blessed to be his father.
“I can’t wait to see what’s next,” Tom concluded.
The Photos Highlighted Their Father-Son Bond
Tom’s birthday carousel featured memories from several of their adventures together.
The photographs included father-son outings to sporting events and moments from the family’s recent trip to Alaska.
Tom also shared pictures of Jack playing basketball. Although Jack has not publicly revealed whether he plans to pursue competitive sports, his father has frequently praised his athletic ability.
“Unfortunately he jumps as high as I do,” Tom joked during the 2024 Fortune Global Forum.
The former quarterback predicted that Jack would become a strong player after experiencing another growth spurt.
However, Tom made it clear that his son does not need to follow him into professional sports.
“Who cares?” he said when discussing Jack’s future. “I want him to know that his dad’s got his back.”
Tom Brady Recently Celebrated Jack’s Graduation
The birthday tribute came approximately two months after Jack graduated from high school.
Tom and Bridget reunited for the June ceremony and posed for family photographs marking the achievement.
Tom described watching Jack walk across the stage as “one of the proudest days” of his life.
“You are an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend amongst many other things,” he wrote in a separate Instagram tribute.
The Fox Sports broadcaster has not shared details about Jack’s plans following graduation.
Jack Is the Oldest of Tom Brady’s Three Children
In addition to Jack, Tom shares son Benjamin, 16, and daughter Vivian, 13, with former wife Gisele Bündchen.
The three siblings have regularly appeared together at football games, championship celebrations and family vacations.
Gisele has also publicly celebrated Jack over the years. On his 14th birthday, she described him as “the best big brother in the world” while sharing a family photograph.
Tom retired from the NFL in 2023 following 23 seasons and has since spoken about making his family a greater priority.
As Jack enters his next chapter after high school, Tom’s birthday tribute reinforced one message: Whatever path his eldest son chooses, his father will be cheering him on.
