Brooklyn’s Honest Statement Made it Clear How He Feels

Brooklyn, the Beckhams’ eldest child, alleged his parents tried “endlessly to ruin” his relationship, and accused his mother Victoria of hijacking their first wedding dance.

The rift became public for the first time last week when Brooklyn opened up about the way he feels he has been treated by the rest of the Beckham family and the reasons why he has stayed silent up until now.

In a lengthy statement posted to Instagram, Brooklyn explained that he feels that his parents have attempted to manage every aspect of his life, have been detrimental to his marriage to Nicola Peltz, and that Victoria even embarrassed him at his wedding by performing an inappropriate dance.

“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn wrote. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”

He continued, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Brooklyn added, “My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
