Savannah Bananas infielder Jackson Olson is 28-years-old and loves entertaining crowds on the field and on social media. Now, it seems he’s found love as well.
“Applications closed✅” Jackson posted on Instagram, referencing jokes he previously made about accepting applications for romantic partners. In the photo, he and Maggie pose sweetly in front of Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World in Orlando.
In the comments, fans left congratulatory words for the happy couple.
“Obsessed with this hard launch 😍” one excited Instagram user wrote.
Who is Jackson Olson?
As a child, Jackson Olson dreamed of playing in the MLB someday. However, things worked out a little differently for him.
The Arizona Diamondbacks tried to recruit Olson when he was still in college, but the pandemic upended things and shortened the MLB draft that year. He decided to keep his options open and made social media videos, which eventually attracted the Bananas’ recruiting team.
“[Cole] reached out to me and was like, ‘Hey, come, play six games with us. Let’s see how you do.’ And now I’m here,” Olson told PEOPLE.
On Instagram, the baseball player described how happy he’d been lately. At the time, many suspected he was seeing someone. In hindsight, the timing of his hard launch with Maggie Sajak makes perfect sense to fans.
“I have been so happy the last couple months and everything feels so new and exciting for the first time in a long time,” Jackson Olson shared with fans on April 10. “My life is going to change a lot in the next year but in the best ways possible (yes there are a couple ways👀) and I can’t wait to share all of it with you soon. But for now I’m taking life day by day and enjoying every moment.
