Will Arnett has a new place to stay when he’s in New York City. A trust connected to the actor has just snapped up a $10.6 million condo at Morton Square which can be found in the West Village. It happens to be “the very same building where Arnett and his now ex-wife Amy Poehler once owned several units,” according to the New York Post.
In 2004, one year after the pair was married, Arnett and Poehler bought a $1.73 million condo in Morton Square. They then sold that home which was located on the fifth floor of the building in 2007 for $2.2 million.
In 2007 and 2010, they purchased two residences in the building and combined them into one large unit.
They famous pair lived in the home with their sons, Archie, 17, and Abel, 15, before divorcing in 2016. Following their split, Poehler paid Arnett $6.49 million to buy him out of the abode.
The Post notes that “[i]t’s unclear whether Poehler still lives in the building;” however, “[i]t’s possible Arnett could be returning to be closer to his two teen sons.”
Will Purchased a ‘Townhouse-Style Home’
GettyArnett’s new pad is a “multi-level, townhouse-style home,” according to Crain’s (via the New York Post). Boasting 3,571 square feet of space, the residence offers the owner four bedrooms as well as four and a half bathrooms.
On top of that, the star’s abode “features a living room with a fireplace, a primary suite with a walk-in closet and a basement-level gym.”
The Building Is a ‘Celebrity Magnet’
If you’re looking for a luxury condo in a building that’s star-worthy, then you might want to take a look at Morton Square. Indeed, Arnett and Poehler aren’t the only famous figures to call the building home.
In 2004, when Morton Square was first completed, The New York Times called it a “celebrity magnet.”
Along with Arnett and Poehler buying into the building, Daniel Radcliffe once lived there and sold his condo on the 11th floor for $5.3 million in 2024. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are also former residents and owned a penthouse in the building, although they also sold it in 2024.
Morton Square offers “6 Star Living in the heart of the West Village,” according to StreetEasy. “Located directly on the Hudson River surrounded by historic cobblestone streets, the development features 142 loft-like apartments and six townhouses – many of them featuring direct river or expansive city-skyline views.”
“The complex was completed in 2004, designed to the highest standards by Costas Kondylis & Partners,” StreetEasy noted. “Residents enjoy white-glove amenities including a 24-hour doorman, professional concierge, a state-of-the-art fitness center, children’s playroom, and an on-site-attended parking garage.”
