“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Lisa Barlow was absent from the show’s season premiere. The Bravo personality later stated that she couldn’t film as she had an event with Ben Affleck. Recently, he weighed in during an interview alongside Matt Damon, promoting their new movie, “The Rip.”
Affleck interviewed with Access Hollywood in January 2026. During the discussion, the host mentioned that he had been mentioned on “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” and asked if he was familiar with Barlow.
The actor responded, “I don’t wanna get anyone in trouble. I don’t know what this is, but I don’t.” From there, he asked for clarification about the event, to which the interviewer stated that it may have been related to Sundance.”
He continued, “I haven’t been in Utah in 8, 9, or 10 years.” In the end, he graciously said that though Barlow didn’t look familiar to him, it is possible they met, but he can’t recall, saying, “I don’t think I’m qualified to weigh in on this.”
Lisa Barlow Previously Gave Details About the Ben Affleck Event
Barlow spoke to Decider in 2025 about the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” premiere. She told the outlet that she was in Austin, Texas, for South by Southwest. While there, she attended the film premiere for Affleck’s “The Accountant 2.” She also attended an event for Blake Lively’s movie “Another Simple Favor.”
Barlow told the outlet, “I was working, I’ve always been someone that works since Season 1. For me, this felt important for me to get back to feeling like me. These are the things that make me, me. I’m a true [Sagittarius]. I like to be busy. I define myself by my accomplishments. So, it felt good to be doing something like two premieres in Austin instead of being in an RV. I didn’t miss out.”
For context, the season premiere featured the ladies traveling to a campground near Provo Canyon via an RV.
He Has a New Movie
In additon to fielding questions about Barlow and “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” Affleck and Damon have a new movie out. The movie, which also stars Sasha Calle, Scott Adkins, Teyana Taylor, and Steven Yeun, was released on January 16.
So far, “The Rip” has received strong reviews from critics, with an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences have the movie at a strong 71%.
