Dolores Catania isn’t shutting the door on “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island” — even with “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” officially moving forward.
And her latest comments suggest she’s at least open to navigating something Bravo rarely allows: overlapping involvement across two franchises.
Dolores Catania Reopens the Door to ‘RHORI’
During a recent appearance on “Two T’s in a Pod” with Tamra Judge, Catania revealed she’s reconsidering her role in Rhode Island after appearing in its first season as a “friend of.”
“They wanted me a part of it,” Dolores said of RHORI. “Which I now agree with and I think next season, hopefully, if I come back it would be different.”
It’s a notable shift — particularly as RHORI continues to establish itself while RHONJ remains one of Bravo’s cornerstone series.
The Timing Is the Key — and It Might Work
The biggest question is logistical — and Judge immediately raised it.
“You’re not going back. You’re going to New Jersey,” she said.
Catania’s response focused on timing.
“Well, they’re not filming at the same time.”
At least for now, that appears to be accurate.
RHORI season one filmed in summer 2025, while RHONJ is expected to film in summer 2026. If those schedules hold — and if Rhode Island doesn’t shift production — the overlap concern may not be as clear-cut as it sounds.
Tamra Judge Questions It — Dolores Leans In
Even with the timing explanation, Judge pointed out how unusual the idea would be.
“I’ve never seen a housewife be on two shows?”
Catania didn’t push back on that — but she didn’t hesitate either.
“So what’s wrong with it?”
Judge clarified she wasn’t opposed, just surprised.
“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. But you think you’re going to be the first one?”
Catania’s answer was simple — and confident. “Who cares, yeah. I think it’s a great idea.”
Why Rhode Island Still Resonates
GettyFor Catania, this isn’t just about opportunity — it’s also about experience.
“I love Rhode Island. I had a beautiful house.”
That personal connection appears to be a driving factor, even as her long-standing ties to RHONJ remain intact.
What It Could Mean Going Forward
Nothing has been confirmed, and production timelines can shift quickly.
But if Catania were to return to RHORI while remaining part of RHONJ, it would test a boundary Bravo has largely kept in place — keeping Housewives tied to a single city.
For now, it remains hypothetical.
But it’s not something Catania is dismissing.
