Joe Gorga is shutting down speculation that his reconciliation with his sister, Teresa Giudice, was a planned production move designed to secure their families’ return to RHONJ. Appearing on the “Turning the Tables” podcast, the siblings answered a few fan questions, including one that stood out above the rest: Was their family reconciliation staged?

“You think Teresa Giudice can fake this [expletive]?” Gorga said while laughing. Giudice replied, “I don’t fake anything.”

Gorga then made a good point, sharing, “You think Teresa is going to hug Melissa and come and hang out with Melissa?” He added, “And you know what was crazy? Those two, they got together and it went right back to normal. It really did.”

Proving that the peace between families was truly real, he shared, “And they talk on the phone now. You know, so I even talk, I was talking to my sister the other day. She’s like, I talked to Melissa. I’m like, when, when did you talk to Melissa?”

Giudice wanted to let listeners know that despite her and Melissa’s up-and-down relationship, their history ran deep. “Listen, we’ve, we’ve been in each other’s lives. Well, Melissa’s been, yeah, I know her 22 years. Like she’s been with my brother. She’s been married to my brother 22 years, right?”

The reality star also wanted to point out that she would have never made Melissa a godmother to her daughter if she “didn’t like her,” noting that it’s a very “big deal.” Gorga agreed.

“So, for everyone out there thinking this was fake, absolutely not,” he clarified.

Gorga Admits He Was ‘Embarrassed’ Of His Family’s Feud

On the same podcast episode, Gorga admitted he was “embarrassed” by the family’s long-standing feud, explaining that the years of public tension had taken an emotional toll.

“Let me tell you something, I was always embarrassed for this, for us fighting for so many years. It really embarrassed me,” he began. “But now this can show the world and the families out there and friends, and cousins and all that, that if we can make up on a reality show in our lives, anyone can make up.”

Gorga shared that it felt “great” to reconcile, noting that there was now “so much pressure off,” sharing that repairing their relationship brought a sense of relief.

“I can spend the rest of my life with my sister and my nieces and my family, it’s beautiful,” he added.

Although the Giudice’s and Gorga’s have now made amends, there is still no concrete news about what’s in store for RHONJ season 15 and who will be part of the cast.

According to a report from Us Weekly this month, production has “been having a hard time finding the right cast and fit.”

“They are going full speed ahead with casting over the next month and a half. The current cast could have answers if they’re coming back to the show in the next couple of months. Producers could recast the whole show,” a source for the outlet shared.
