Jon Hamm Reveals Which ‘Real Housewives’ Stars He’d Cast in His Series

Jon Hamm isn’t shy about his love of Bravo. Now, he’s imagining what that fandom could look like on screen.

While promoting the latest season of his Apple TV+ series “Your Friends & Neighbors,” the “Mad Men” star shared which “The Real Housewives” personalities he thinks would be perfect additions to the show.

Jon Hamm’s Dream ‘Housewives’ Casting Picks

In a recent interview with People, Hamm was asked which Housewife he would cast if given the chance. His answer leaned toward some iconic personalities.

“I think we’d probably go with someone like Sonja,” he said. “I’d go old school New York. Maybe Ramona. We want somebody crazy in there to come in and stir (things) up. Those two, I think, would be great.”

The picks reflect Hamm’s appreciation for the earlier era of “The Real Housewives of New York City.” The original RHONY was especially known for its unpredictable energy and larger-than-life personalities.

A Longtime Bravo Fan

Hamm has long described himself as a “Bravoholic,” frequently speaking about his love for Bravo’s biggest franchises.

Over the years, he’s referenced everything from “The Real Housewives” to “Vanderpump Rules,” often highlighting the personalities and dynamics that make the shows so compelling.

His latest comments only reinforce how closely he follows the Bravo universe. And also how easily he can envision those personalities crossing over into scripted television.

It’s Not the First Time He’s Weighed In on Bravo Drama

Hamm’s comments come shortly after another Bravo-related moment made headlines.

During a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Hamm weighed in on the latest “Summer House” news involving Amanda Batula and West Wilson.

At the time, he voiced support for Ciara Miller, calling her “a great gal” and aligning himself with “Team Ciara” as Cohen asked the actor for his opinion.

Blurring the Lines Between Bravo and Scripted TV

With “Your Friends & Neighbors” continuing to generate buzz, Hamm’s casting comments offer a glimpse into how reality TV personalities could translate into scripted roles.

And if his picks are any indication, he’s not looking for subtlety — he’s looking for personalities who know how to command a scene. Sonja and Ramona certainly fit that bill.
