Drita D’Avanzo is being nominated by someone very close to reality queen Kim Kardashian as the next addition to the cast of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Jonathan Cheban, aka “FOODGOD,” shared a passionate video on Wednesday, March 25 insisting the “Mob Wives” star can breathe new life into the franchise. Rumors are already circulating that Drita has agreed to sign on, and Jonathan is praying they’re true.
Jonathan, who has made numerous appearances on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” as Kim’s sidekick over the years, declared in the video, “Please tell me the rumors are true. Drita legend icon D’Avanzo from ‘Mob Wives’ is going onto New Jersey ‘Housewives.’ They need this SO bad!”

GettyThe 52-year-old acknowledged his appreciation for the “RHONJ” OGs, saying, “Now don’t get me wrong. Melissa, Teresa, Dolores. Stars! But in general, that show has sunk because it looks so fake!” He complained most of the show’s current castmates are “not Jersey girls,” before alluding to some of the region’s cultural cornerstones, saying, “I want girls that used to be in a tanning salon everyday. I want girls that used to be in the mall everyday. I want girls that started businesses like a hairspray company. I don’t know, it’s Jersey. When you’re Jersey, you’re from Jersey.
Cheban then reminisced on the show’s earlier days, saying, “I told them, I go, ‘It’s so weird. Every time I go to a restaurant there’s like nobody in there.’ The old days, Caroline, Jacqueline, Danielle Staub. Wow! I gotta put my glasses on for her. Danielle made that show crazy,” he went on, shouting out several of the franchise’s previous stars.
The Fort Lee, New Jersey native then talked about how what a good reality pairing D’Avanzo would make with Teresa Giudice, saying, “That is TV! I mean come on, Jersey! This is gonna be a gamechanger, I hope this is true.”
Cheban then flipped his camera around to show his surroundings, telling his followers, “I can say this cause I’m literally in New Jersey paying for the toll right now.”

Several fans reacted with enthusiasm to Jonathan’s idea that Drita needs to join the cast. One wrote, “Yesss! I would start watching it again!” Another chimed in, “I hope this is true!” before complaining the past few seasons of “New Jersey” have been “horrendous.”
Another fan pointed out that Drita lives in Staten Island rather than New Jersey, but Jonathan informed them, “Yeh, she’s moving.”
