Kim Richards was an original star on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” but fans probably won’t see her back anytime soon.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Richards’ sister Kathy Hilton, who’s a “friend of” on the Bravo hit, said the reality show is not in her sibling’s future.
“She’s doing really well,” Hilton, 66, said in December 2025. “I know, I read that all the time [that fans want her to come back]. I don’t think it’s for her, I don’t think it’s for her.”
Hilton said that part of the problem is the invasiveness of the cameras for the Bravo reality show. She added, “She’s a very talented actress, too. So, it’s, I don’t know. I don’t think she really is interested.”
Richards was a main cast member on RHOBH from 2010 to 2015 before exiting her full-time role to focus on her sobriety and her family. She has returned as a “guest” several times since but has not appeared on the show at all since 2024, when she made several cameos during season 13, per IMDb.
Kim Richards Has an Impressive Acting Resume, But She Hasn’t Acted in a While
Richards has an impressive acting resume. In the 1970s, she was one of the most popular child stars of the era, appearing in the TV series “Nanny and the Professor” and the Disney movies “Escape to Witch Mountain,” “No Deposit No Return,” and more. As a teen, Richards logged guest roles on “Little House on the Prairie,” “CHiPs,” “The Love Boat,” and Diff’rent Strokes,” the latter of which spawned a starring role in the short-lived NBC comedy series, “Hello, Larry.”
But Richards’ last credited acting roles were a decade ago, in the TV series “Revenge” and the 2015 made-for-TV film “Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No.”
In a 2013 interview with Popbuff, Richards revealed that her favorite film she did was “Escape to Witch Mountain.”
She added, “I dream about working again one day. I do think about what it would be like having a character that I am portrayed. I would like to do a movie about a character that has real life story, I would like to have a little bit of everything – dramatics, comedies some real-life stuff.”
Kim Richards Seemingly Considered a Return to RHOBH a Few Years Ago
Several years ago, Richards teased a possible return to RHOBH alongside her sister Kyle, who has been a constant cast member since its debut in 2010.
In a clip from the live Q&A reposted by No Filter With Zack Peter, the actress revealed she had talked to Bravo producer Andy Cohen about her potential return to the show.
“I did have a phone call,” Richards told fans in the video. “Andy Cohen called me last week, so maybe that could be one of our discussions. He said, ‘You know, a lot people have been asking’ for me to come back, and he said he thought ‘I’ll go right to the source.’ So he did. And I do love Andy a lot, he’s great. And it was time to put his baby to bed, so we cut the phone call short. But we definitely had it.”
In an interview, Kyle Richards told Digital Spy that fans have long wanted to see all three of the siblings on the show together. “I mean, the fans have really said that [they want all three sisters together] over, and over, and over,” she said.

No, please don’t have Kim Richard’s return.
She’s a washed up actress, a drunk, a drug addict & can be volatile.
She’s not worth the hassle to Bravo
