Phaedra Parks has officially moved on with CT Tamburello, and her ex-husband, Apollo Nida, has some thoughts about the new man in her life.
After Parks recently confirmed that she and “The Challenge” veteran are dating, Nida opened up about the unexpected Bravo-MTV romance and made it clear he has no problem seeing his ex-wife happy with someone new.
Speaking to TMZ, Nida said he is happy for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and ultimately has one priority when it comes to anyone Parks brings into her life: how that person treats her and their two sons.
Apollo Nida Shares His Thoughts on Phaedra Parks and CT Tamburello
Nida and Parks share sons Ayden and Dylan, and the former couple has remained connected as co-parents since ending their marriage.
According to Nida, he doesn’t keep close tabs on Parks’ dating life these days. Their conversations largely revolve around their children, and he believes Parks has always carried herself appropriately as a mother.
As for Tamburello, Nida reportedly has no concerns as long as the reality star treats Parks and their children well.
There is one part of the new relationship that Nida has apparently been thinking about, however: when it actually began.
Parks and Tamburello became close while filming Season 2 of Peacock’s “The Traitors,” which premiered in 2024. Nida told TMZ he suspects there could have been something brewing between the two during their time on the competition series.
Their friendship continued to fuel romance speculation long after the show ended, but Parks only recently confirmed that the two are now dating. The pair were also spotted together at Los Angeles International Airport over the weekend.
Apollo Nida Weighs In on CT Tamburello’s Marriage
Tamburello’s personal life adds another layer to the new relationship.
The Challenge star remains legally married to his estranged wife, Catalina White, who filed for divorce in January. According to TMZ, Nida isn’t particularly bothered by Tamburello’s marital status.
Nida’s view is that remaining legally married on paper doesn’t necessarily mean two people are still together. Instead, he believes the bigger issue is whether Tamburello has been honest and transparent with Parks about his situation.
And should Parks’ new relationship eventually bring Tamburello into the same room as Nida and their children, Nida isn’t anticipating any problems.
“I’m not gonna be an [expletive],” he told TMZ of how he would handle an encounter with Tamburello.
Parks and Nida married in 2009 before separating in 2014. Their divorce was finalized in 2017. Nearly a decade later, Nida said he largely stays out of his ex-wife’s personal life and wishes her the best.
For Parks, her newly confirmed romance marks an unexpected crossover between two reality TV worlds, and one that now has the approval of someone who knows her better than most.
