Fans of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” have watched the bond between Mary Cosby and Angie Katsanevas grow over the past few seasons. As other castmates have been embroiled in some pretty vicious fights, Mary and Angie stuck together.
When the RHOSLC Season 6 trailer first dropped, fans were shocked to see the two locked in such an ugly fight that you couldn’t help but wonder if their friendship was over for good. On Sept. 17, 2025, Angie gave an update on their friendship during a Bravo HQ Live segment.
Angie Gives an Update on Her Friendship With Mary
BravoDuring the special Bravo HQ livestreamed event, Angie addressed the topic of her friendship with Mary and the issues that led to their initial strain. She quickly reassured everyone that the two are still friends.
“Mary and I move on. We’re like sisters. We’re both honest and real. We don’t have any kind of a dark history, we’ve just always been on a positive path. I feel like she knows I love her and she loves me.”
Angie believes that the fact that both women are honest is actually what can lead to their clashes.
“I think we both speak our mind, and it at times causes rifts,” she explained. “We’re both very direct. We’re both very upfront. We say what we’re thinking. When you’re honest about how you really feel, there’s going to be conflict.”
Angie also discussed the fight that was teased in the RHOSLC trailer. She says that Mary realized what was unfolding in real time and tried to offer some advice.
“She wanted to help me, and had great intentions. And for me, I just couldn’t see it in the moment, in the heated moment. But I saw later she had great intentions and just wanted the best,” Angie shared.
Angie Is Determined to Grow From Spats With Mary
BravoAngie also believes that at the root of their conflict lies a lot of similarity. She is also determined to turn any arguments they have into a positive.
“I think relationships grow from that. And you gain more respect, you know?” she explained.
The first episode of Season 6 began with a cast trip that Angie and Mary hosted. Rather than spend a few days in the lap of luxury, they rented an RV and ended up in an RV park.
“When I found out that Mary grew up in RVs, I just thought, ‘Wow, that’s how down to earth she is,'” Angie explained during her Bravo HQ Live. “She’s carrying beautiful purses, dresses, and looks like a million bucks. But she grew up getting in RVs.”
“I think for the two of us to share that with the ladies was special. I mean, I’m sure she’d have rather been in a five-star hotel, but I think she was down, which I love about Mary.”
