‘Real Housewives’ Star Asks Fans For Support After Scary Situation

Bravo star Shannon Beador asked fans to keep her beloved dog, Archie, in their thoughts. The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star posted to her Instagram story on April 12 to reveal that her loyal Golden retriever suffered a medical emergency.

“Archie had a seizure this morning that was quite scary,” she wrote. “He is back home from the vet and we are watching him. Please keep Archie in your thoughts.”

Shannon Beador Gave Fans an Update on Archie’s Condition

Beador later gave fans an update on Archie’s condition as she thanked fans for their support. She captioned a second post of Archie posing with his “brother,” her second dog, Troy.

“We are overwhelmed with so many kind messages. Archie and Troy (and me) say thank you! Archie is doing well!” the reality star wrote.

Beador has long kept fans in the loop regarding Archie’s health. According to BravoTV.com, in 2022, she said the dog wasn’t doing well and needed to go to a specialist.

“We are told his immune system is shot,” she shared at the time. “He has been on multiple antibiotics for various skin infections for the last 3 months and has been taking Apoquel. Nothing helped. Right now we are combining Western and holistic medicine in hopes that something will work.”

“Please say a little prayer for Archie. We are beside ourselves in the Beador home,” the RHOC star added.

She also revealed that Archie sometimes needs to wear a cone around his head because he has allergies and was biting at his skin.

In February, she shared a photo of Archie wearing a cone, and a second shot of him dressed as a lion to cover his head.

“It’s National Golden Retriever Day!!!” she wrote. “Hate to come home to one of my boys in a cone. 😢I tried to make Archie more comfortable as a lion, but he wants no part of it 😜 Troy is keeping him happy ❤️ Love my boys!!! 🥰🥰.”

Shannon Storms Beador adopted Archie  in 2016

Beador adopted Archie in 2016 when he was just 10 months old. In a video for Bravo, she revealed she knew she had to adopt him after she saw a photo of him on X.

“A viewer tweeted a picture of Archie and said, ‘Do you know anyone that’s looking for a dog?’ And I said, ‘Are you serious?'” she explained in the video. “He was raised in San Francisco at the Four Seasons Hotel, because they have residences up there. So he’s been raised fancy…he’s so much fun, and so protective, and has these sweet quirks.”

In a July 2024 interview with Bravo, Beador said Archie was the perfect man in her life. “I’m living with the new man in my life, Archie,” she said, describing him as one of the only “reliable” guys she knows.

In May 2025, Beador introduced fans to her new addition, Troy. “Archie has a brother!!! Meet the newest member of our family!!!” she shared at the time.
