GettyFormer “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Teddi Mellencamp is looking ahead to a fresh chapter after revealing her stage 4 melanoma is now “gone.” Most recently, People shared photos of Mellencamp spotted with her ex-boyfriend, Ricci Rea, sparking speculation that the two may be rekindling their romance.
Mellencamp and Rea were photographed on Oct. 5 taking a walk together in Los Angeles, California. The two kept things casual, with the reality star wearing a jumpsuit and sneakers with a baseball cap, while Rea wore a white T-shirt and black shorts.
The former couple didn’t hold hands or show any form of PDA in the photos, and People noted that this marked their first public appearance together since splitting in July. Mellencamp and Rea dated for just a month while she was undergoing treatment for stage 4 cancer.
On an episode of her and Erika Girardi’s “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast, she spilled on why she could not make things work between her and Rea, sharing that the timing was off. Additionally, Mellencamp was also in an ongoing divorce from her husband, Edwin Arroyave, but proceedings were paused while she underwent cancer treatment.
“Right now, it started getting to the point where it’s starting to get a little bit more serious,” she shared. “I was like, ‘I don’t have the capacity for this right now.” She added, “He’s a really nice guy, couldn’t be a nicer guy.”
Mellencamp Announced That Her Cancer Was ‘Gone’
On an episode of her “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast, which she co-hosts with RHOC’s Tamra Judge, Mellencamp revealed that her cancer was “gone” while chatting with fellow housewife Dolores Catania.
“Just to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday and I did my scans and at this point there is no detectable cancer,” she shared.
As Catania celebrated the news, Mellencamp added, “When they told me, I was in such shock. I was like, numb.” She also shared that she would continue treatment for a year.
“I’m still going to be having days when I’m feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy, so I’m still fighting because you have to be,” the former Housewife said.
After Mellencamp shared the clip of her conversation with Catania on her Instagram, several “Real Housewives” stars expressed joy and sent heartfelt messages to the reality star.
Tamra Judge wrote, “Thank you Jesus love you so much T.” Former RHONY star Dorinda Medley commented, “This is Beautiful So Happy Teddi we Love You!!” RHOC star Shannon Beador also shared, “Amazing news!!!”
