BravoCon 2025 happened in November, and the network made multiple announcements at the Las Vegas convention. One of them was the upcoming show, “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip. Now, “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Vicki Gunvalson has dropped some casting details.
Gunvalson appeared on the December 16 episode of the Nick Viall Files podcast. One of the hosts asked when filming for season 20 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” would begin.
She said, “I think it’s mid-February. We don’t have an exact date yet, but it’ll be mid-February.” Gunvalson then continued, confirming her “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip” casting.
According to her, “And then I’m gonna do the girls’ trip like four days before that. And a little caveat, so I’m going on the girls’ trip January 18th through the end of January, and then I head to Mexico from New York.”
The host then asked if she meant a personal girls’ trip with friends. She responded, “No, I’m doing a trip with Shed Media. It’ll be fun.” From there, the hosts tried to get other casting details, propting Gunvalson to remark, “I’m not saying.”
‘The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip’ Is a Celebration
According to Deadline, Andy Cohen announced “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip” at BravoCon in November 2025. He did it during his “Ask Andy” segment. The show is intended to mark the 20th anniversary of the “Real Housewives” franchise.
Frances Berwick, Chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted, said, “For two decades, ‘The Real Housewives’ has amplified women’s voices, spotlighted their ambition, humor, and strength, inspiring millions with their unapologetic authenticity.”
She continued, “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip is a love letter to the women who turned a reality television show into a cultural phenomenon — and the fans who’ve been there for every laugh, gasp, toast, and table turn.”
The show will feature iconic Housewives stars like Gunvalson traveling to memorable locations that are familiar to fans of the various shows in the franchise. It will begin in Orange County and, as Gunvalson stated, will conclude on the East Coast.
It will premiere on Bravo in 2026.
Gunvalson Was Invited Back to ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’
Gunvalson left “The Real Housewives of Orange County” in 2020. Since then, she has appeared on the show in minimal capacities as she’s still friends with some of the ladies. However, Variety reported that she would return for season 20 at BravoCon 2025.
It’s unclear which of the other cast members will return for the show’s upcoming milestone season. However, as Gunvalson stated in her interview, production will begin in February, which means fans can expect the season around the summer, as was the case with season 19.
I wasn’t very happy to see Vicki back full time on housewife, I’m very disappointed in Bravo. After she lied and helped Brooks coverup his cancer story why would they ever hire her back?
