“Bringing Up Bates” star Erin Bates has a long road to recovery ahead of her, but her health has dramatically improved since she was rushed to the ICU after the birth of her newborn son, Henry.
Chad Paine has been updating fans and loved ones on the status of his wife, but after two weeks in the hospital, they are also missing their other six children.
Erin Bates & Chad Paine Are Missing Their Babies
The couple are proud parents to Carson, 10, Brooklyn, 8, Everly, 7, Holland, 5, Finley, 3, William, 22 months, and Henry, 2 weeks. In a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, September 10, Paine is reading a letter to Bates. The text overlay on the video reads, “When you get a letter from your little girl after weeks in the hospital.”
“I’m praying for you, and I hope I can see you so soon,” their little girl writes. “I love you and I know you love me back. I wish I could see you now.” Paine has to pause as he reads the letter because it is so moving. “Well mom, I know how ever long you stay there I will be right here waiting on you.” It is an incredibly beautiful moment.
In the caption, Paine shared his thoughts. “A moment we never want to forget. Being away from our babies has been harder than we ever imagined. Our hearts ache to be together again. #familystrong #nicu #emotional.”
Fans have reacted to the post with messages of love and support, wishing Bates a speedy recovery and commenting on how they are a beautiful family. “Noooo! Don’t make us cry I can’t imagine, but I know you guys miss your babies!” a comment reads. “This breaks my heart.. l love y’all so much!” another fan shared. “The Lord is Faithful & He is Healing precious Erin & will continue to strengthen your faith & make you strong during this trial..Bless you Chad, for keeping us all updated.”

Chad Paine Gives Health Update on Wife Erin Bates
This is not the first time Paine has shared how much they are missing their children. In an update on September 9, informing fans that Bates is doing much better, he also commented on their children.
“We miss our babies more than words can say, and we are so grateful for each prayer, message, and act of kindness from those who have reached out during this time,” he wrote on Instagram. His last sentence focused on how their fans had helped in this emotional situation. “Your love is carrying us,” he wrote.
The couple and their loved ones hope to be reunited soon.
