Adam Levy, Judge Judy’s Son: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Adam Levy is the son of television icon Judge Judy and a longtime prosecutor who is now stepping into the courtroom TV spotlight with his own series. With decades of legal experience and deep ties to his mother’s TV empire, Levy is poised to carry on a very familiar legacy. Here’s what you need to do.

Adam Levy Is Getting His Own Courtroom Show

Levy is officially following in his mother’s televised footsteps. According to Deadline, CBS Media Ventures is developing a new syndicated courtroom series titled “Adam’s Law,” with Levy presiding as judge.

The show will be produced by Judith Sheindlin’s Queen Bee Productions alongside CBS Media Ventures, with Sheindlin and Roland Tieh serving as executive producers.

Sheindlin did not hold back when praising her son. “Adam is a spectacular lawyer,” she said in a statement. “As a judge, his search for the truth is unparalleled.” The show is being described as a bold, no-nonsense take on justice, very much in line with the brand audiences associate with Judge Judy.

Before stepping in front of the cameras, Levy earned his reputation in the courtroom. He became the District Attorney of Putnam County, New York, in 2007 and served two terms. During his tenure, the county reportedly saw a 40% drop in property crime and was named the safest county in New York State.

Levy prosecuted a wide range of cases, including sexual assault and political corruption, establishing credentials that go far beyond a famous last name.

Adam Levy Comes From a Blended, High-Achieving Family

Sheindlin welcomed Adam in 1968 with her first husband, Ronald Levy, according to Hello. He has one biological sister, Jamie, and three step-siblings — Gregory, Jonathan, and Nicole — from Sheindlin’s marriage to former New York judge Jerry Sheindlin.

Sheindlin’s own career sets a high bar. She was named the world’s highest-paid TV host in 2018 after earning $147 million in pretax income and received a lifetime achievement award at the Daytime Emmys the following year.

His Daughter Is Already Part of the Judge Judy Universe

Levy married Lori Leichtman after college, and the couple shares three children: Sarah Rose, Jacob, and Emma. Sarah Rose is already working in the family business, serving as a law clerk on her grandmother’s show “Judy Justice.”

In a 2021 Good Housekeeping essay, Sarah Rose thanked Sheindlin for her guidance, writing that her grandmother created “a strong safety net for our entire family,” allowing them to take risks and pursue their own paths.

Adam Levy Is No Stranger to Television

Levy has previously worked with Sheindlin on shows including “Tribunal Justice” and the docudrama “Justice on Trial.”

“Adam’s Law” is “a bold new take on the courtroom,” the show will see a “fierce, unfiltered and dedicated” Levy tackle “making the justice system fair… like his legendary mother” after having “dedicated his career to ferreting out the truth,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

“Adam’s Law” is expected to join CBS’ distribution slate in fall 2026 and may also stream on Paramount+.
