“Secret Lives of Mormon Wives“ star Jessi Ngatikaura’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, has filed for divorce, PEOPLE reports.
According to the outlet, he filed on Thursday, March 19, while also releasing a statement saying, “This has not been an easy decision and it comes with a heavy heart.”
“I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons,” he added. “While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition. I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect.”
Jessi and Jordan share two children, a daughter Jovi (2½) and a son Jagger (5). Jordan also has a daughter Peyton (13), from a previous relationship.

During Season 3 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” Jessi and Jordan’s marriage was a main subject after it had been revealed that Jessi had an affair with Marciano Brunette, who is a cast member of the Hulu show Vanderpump Villa.
With that, Jessi opened up about her marriage in front of the cameras, saying that she was subject to “emotional abuse” from Jordon, which led to the couple taking a 90-day separation. In a statement to PEOPLE last year, Jordon addressed this, saying “I take full accountability for the pain I caused Jessi during our marriage.”
“At that time in my life, I was deeply unhealed, and as the saying goes, hurt people hurt people,” he continued. “That doesn’t excuse my behavior in any way, it’s something I’ve had to face and take full responsibility for… I have deep remorse for the hurt I caused and so much respect for Jessi’s strength in continuing to fight for our marriage and family.”

In an interview that was published by PEOPLE in November 2025, Jessi opened up about the tough time in her marriage, saying that they “both made mistakes for sure.” And she is taking accountability for her role in that.
“I do take full ownership for that and accountability that I shouldn’t have done it,” Jessi told the outlet regarding her affair. “I wish I never had, and I hope Jordan feels the same about how he treated me for a while. But yes, it took both of us to get there. I think having it come out publicly was a good wake-up call for us because it got us help. We’ve been in therapy, and it’s been something we’ve been working on ever since.”
As for how this will affect their children, Jessi admits that it’s hard to know they will see this or hear it talked about, but at the same time, she wants them to use it as a learning experience.
“As a parent, my biggest goal is to never hide anything from my kids and just share my mistakes so that they can learn from them as well,” she added. “So I feel like giving them context to my story and letting them know, ‘Your mom and dad aren’t perfect, but we’re working on it,’ and just trying to show them healthier patterns moving forward helps.”
