New ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Couple Get Their Official Unveiling

Following their debut performance as last-minute replacements for the injured Dani Dyer, Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin have officially been unveiled as a new couple on ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’

Davies and Kuzmin’s couple pic has appeared on the official ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Instagram page, signalling their arrival on the popular BBC show.

Kuzmin had previously been paired with reality television star Dyer, but after she fractured her ankle during rehearsals for week 1, fellow ‘Love Island’ alum Davies willingly stepped in — and it’s safe to say she definitely looks the part alongside her professional partner.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Fans Praise ‘Stunning’ and ‘Charming’ Couple

Davies and Kuzmin’s official ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ picture has wowed fans of the show, as they rushed to the comments in their droves to praise them.

One user commented on Davies and Kuzmin’s couple picture by saying, “What a charming couple.”

Another user, in awe of the glamorous pair, tagged Kuzmin in a comment and wrote, “@nikita__kuzmin stunning.”

Someone else simply said, “i am obsessed with them 😍.”

Other smitten users wished the couple well in their attempts to win the show, with one writing, “Love this!! ✨🤍🪩 All the best you guys Xx” and another commenting, “There’s something about her. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s cause she’s one of the few people I knew before this. But I just really want her to do well in this show.”

Meanwhile, Davies herself commented on the picture, saying, “NEW MONEY I’m obsessed.”

An Impressive Start for Davies and Kuzmin

As previously touched upon, Davies and Kuzmin have already made their debut performance on ‘Strictly Come Dancing,’ impressing the judges after stepping in late for week 1 of the show, on Saturday, September 27.

Having missed the launch show, following Dyer’s injury, Davies was thrown in at the deep end for opening week, performing a waltz to “When We Were Young” by Adele.

The couple received a 7 out of 10 from Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Shirley Ballas, with Anton Du Beke marking them with a 6. That gave them a total of 27 out 40, placing them joint-third on the leaderboard alongside former soccer star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and his professional partner Lauren Oakley.

Only former soccer star Karen Carney and Carlos Gu, who scored 31, and actor Lewis Cope and Katya Jones, who scored 28, ranked higher than them. By anyone’s standards, that’s mighty impressive, considering Davies’ late arrival.

On this week’s show, when Davies will have had her first week of full-time preparation, she and Kuzmin will be performing a samba to “Bam Bam” by Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran. That’s something everyone should be looking forward to!

Week 2 of series 23 of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ airs on BBC One on Saturday, October 4, at 6:20 p.m GMT.
