Born in Windsor, Ontario, on April 17, 1987, Wood set her sights on a life in entertainment early. At 18, she moved to Toronto to chase her acting dreams.

During the early years of her acting career, she did some work in commercials and television series, including “Runaway,” “M.V.P.,” and “Lovebites.”

Her big break came in 2008, when she took over the role of Steffy Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” She stepped away from the show from 2013 to 2015, then returned later that year. Wood continues to portray the role today.

Aside from “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Wood appeared in movies, including “Final Destination 5,” “Nightmare at the End of the Hall,” “Skyrunners,” “Turns the Beat Around,” and “Her Husband’s Betrayal.”

Wood also hosted the 2013 E! travel series, “Party On,” and landed a role in Hulu’s web series, “South Beach.”

Of course, Wood’s journey to success wasn’t an easy one. The actress previously told Soaps.com that the pace of daytime drama ultimately took a toll on her.

“I was running myself into the ground to the point where I didn’t even look like myself anymore,” she told the outlet at the time. “I was so thin, and my skin was breaking out… I realized that I needed to focus on myself and my health, and getting myself back on track. And that was before kids!”

Wood is known to be very close with her “The Bold and the Beautiful” co-stars. In 2008, she told Soap Opera Digest that the cast members treat her like family.

“They treat me like family,” she told the outlet. “I know I can go to them for anything.”

Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) once stated that Wood is one of his real-life best friends. Meanwhile, Annika Noelle (Hope Logan) expressed admiration for the actress, whom she also considered a close friend.


A Proud Mom of 5 Boys

Wood first met her husband, talent agent Elan Ruspoli, in 2010. The couple announced their engagement in 2017 and eloped in 2018, per Soaps.com

Wood and Ruspoli share five sons together, Rise, Lenix, Brando, Valor, and Talon. The actress is definitely a proud boy mom, as seen on her social media updates.
