RJ Forrester is heading home to Los Angeles, and this time, a new face steps into the spotlight on “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
A lot of changes are expected to take place in 2026 on the CBS sudser, and that includes the shocking recast of Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) son, RJ.
The role was last played by Josh Hoffman, portraying him from 2023 to 2024. And now, TV Insider confirmed that soap newcomer Brayan Nicoletti is officially taking over the character.
‘The Bold & the Beautiful’ Has a New RJ Forrester
Nicolleti is relatively new in the soap world. He studied acting at the now-defunct Hussain College and has appeared in a few theater productions in the Los Angeles Center Studios. The actor also played the role of Anthony in the 2024 movie “Woodbridge.”
Rumors of Nicolleti’s casting as RJ on “The Bold and the Beautiful” first broke in December, after John McCook’s (Eric Forrester) wife, Laurette Spang McCook, shared an intriguing photo on social media.
In the picture, McCook posed alongside his on-screen son, Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester), and the newcomer Nicoletti. The photo was taken at the soap’s holiday party, sparking even more speculation that Nicoletti is joining the show.
In an interview with TV Insider, “The Bold and the Beautiful” head writer Bradley Bell confirmed that Nicolleti has been cast as RJ.
“We’re at a great time in the show where you have that next generation to play with their core family members,” Bell told the outlet.
What to Expect?
Fans can expect major story developments on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” especially with the younger characters on the show.
“It’s exciting,” Bell enthused. “We have a new group of young characters being featured. We’ve signed Sydney Bullock as Miss Dylan and Brayan Nicoletti playing R.J. [Forrester]. We’re at a great time in the show where you have that next generation to play with their core family members.”
Bell also teased an upcoming rivalry between Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) and RJ Forrester, adding another layer of drama to the already complicated family feud.
“We will have another Spencer/Forrester rivalry with Will and RJ, so that’s going to be some fun,” Bell added. “Years ago, when R.J. and Will were born, we thought, ‘Well, we’re never going to be around to see these guys acting as adults against one another,’ and here we are.”
