Patrick Muldoon’s sudden passing shocked many of his former “Days of Our Lives” cast members. Christie Clark, who shared the screen as Carrie Brady and Austin Reed, took to Instagram to share personal insight into their relationship.
She wrote, “This gorgeous Irish man was just as beautiful inside as outside. P Muldoon made anyone that met him fall in love with him.”
Clark continued, “Thank you for the hard belly laughing, nostril flaring uproarious good times I had with you. They’re imprinted on my heart and soul.”
“My Irish friend, Jim Morrison/Marlon Brando re-incarnated, lover of life & music. Sending massive hugs to his most prized people, Deanna, Patrick Sr, Shana, Amhet, Halo, Arrow and of course his love Miriam. Thinking of you.”
Clark shared that The Flamingo’s song, “I Only Have Eyes For You” was Carrie and Austin’s “love song for years on ‘Days of Our Lives.’ And with this song and so many other songs, I will always think of you when I hear this and smile and think of my lovely mischievous and much missed beautiful friend.”
Christie Clark Shared Even More Wonderful Memories of Patrick Muldoon on Social Media
In a second Instagram post, Christie Clark continued to share even more special memories of her friendship with Patrick Muldoon. She reflected on their time together on “Days of Our Lives,” calling him a kind and memorable presence both on and off set.
She captioned a slideshow of photos, “I’m going down the rabbit hole of memory lane. Another thing I wanted to add about Pat was his love of women.”
Clark continued, “First it starts with his Mama and sister Shana and then trickles down to anyone who’s luck enough to hang with him. Pat was a protector and passionate advocate for building all people up. I have to warn you I might have an album of Pats favorite songs by the weeks end.”
In a final social media post, the actress, who achieved soap supercouple status with the Muldoon between 1993 and 1997, shared what he taught her personally and professionally. Additionally, she posted four more photos that sent fans hearts aflutter.
“Pat taught me to fight. Fight as an actor and not be lazy and how to throw a punch. I think that’s why ‘Days of Our Lives’ had me punch so many characters on the show.”
Patrick Muldoon, 57, is survived, per Deadline, by his parents, Deanna and Patrick Muldoon Sr. He had one sister, Shana, who is married to Frank Zappa’s son Ahmet Zappa. Muldoon was an beloved uncle to his niece Halo and nephew Arrow Zappa.
