“General Hospital” star Carolyn Hennesy is asking for prayers as she recovers from one surgery and undergoes another.
The actress, who plays Diane Miller on the hit ABC soap, broke her leg in October and required surgery. At the time, she had to cancel a performance originally scheduled this month.
“Hello all, due to unforeseen circumstances, like a broken leg, my performance at Vibrato on November 5 has been postponed,” Hennesy wrote on X. “We’ll get ‘er done, just not on the 5th.”
She made a similar announcement on Instagram, promising fans that she’ll share more details of her injury soon.
“Hello everyone, sadly (very!) we have to postpone the show on Nov 5th due to a personal injury. More details soon!” the veteran actress captioned the post.
Carolyn Hennesy’s 1st Surgery a Success
On November 4, Hennesy took to her Instagram Stories to confirm that her first surgery went well, per Soap Opera Digest. The “General Hospital” star also told fans she’s having another operation shortly after that.
“First surgery went well and the second surgery is scheduled for Thursday,” Hennesy wrote. “All thoughts and prayers are welcome.”
Hennesy debuted as Diane Miller on “General Hospital” in 2007. Her portrayal of the character earned her two Daytime Emmy Award nominations in the Supporting Actress category.
The last time Hennesy appeared as Diane on “GH” was on the October 14 episode, where she warned Michael and Carly that they weren’t off the hook for framing Willow in Drew’s shooting.
Fans Send Her Positive Vibes
Meanwhile, fans were quick to send positive vibes and prayers Hennesy’s way. One fan wrote, “Please get better quickly! The world needs your song and smile!”

Despite her accident, Hennesy has remained upbeat and even joked with fans online. When asked how she broke her leg, the actress encouraged her followers to guess, writing on X, “Use your imagination! Top three get shoutouts!”
So far, Hennesy hasn’t revealed exactly how the accident happened.
