5 Dropped Plotlines “General Hospital” Needs To Bring Back

“General Hospital” has a long history of abandoning plotlines. Sometimes they reappear later, and sometimes they don’t. But lately, it seems like the show has been dropping a lot of plotlines that had the potential to be really interesting while recycling others that are starting to feel a bit stale.

Take the Willow and Drew storyline, for example. Enough already. Both characters are so unlikable at this point that it’s hard to care who wins. They both belong in prison. Instead of continuing to drag out the same stories, the show should resurrect some of these dropped plotlines this fall to bring some fresh energy to Port Charles.

Trina Has a Stalker

This storyline is probably one that’s still on the horizon. Not that long ago, Kai met up with his former teammate, Quinn. Quinn and Kai used to be good friends, but when Kai was injured, Quinn blamed Trina and was rude to her. As a result, Kai stopped communicating with him.

When Kai recently met up with Quinn, he told him that his previous treatment of Trina wasn’t acceptable. Quinn apologized to Trina, and it seemed like the situation might be resolved. But viewers saw something much more disturbing in a cutaway scene at the end of the episode: Quinn has been stalking Trina and has dozens of photos of her in his home.

Now that Trina is going to be a recording artist, the show will probably pick up this storyline again, with Trina having to deal with Quinn’s stalking as her fame grows. This could turn into a really exciting storyline for the fall and winter.

Maxie’s Poisoning

Right now, Maxie’s future is in limbo because Kirsten Storms had to step away from the show for personal reasons. But if she comes back, or if the show decides to recast Maxie, it would be great to see Dante or Anna finally investigate Maxie’s poisoning.

Maxie was poisoned on-air while promoting Deception’s face cream and spent months in a coma because of it. But the show never followed up on the poisoning or revealed who was responsible. Now that Serena Baldwin is in town and joining Lucy in trying to get Deception back on track, it would be a perfect time to give this storyline some attention.

Many viewers assumed that Sidwell poisoned the cream. Sidwell could be brought back as part of this arc, or the show could reveal that someone else was responsible for the crime. Either way, the storyline still has plenty of potential.

Jake Webber

Jason has recently returned from a life-changing prison stint. He’s determined to focus on his son and be a good father. But Jason has another son, too, and Jake is rarely even mentioned. The last time anyone talked about Jake Webber was when Elizabeth called him to tell him that Monica Quartermaine had passed away.

With Jason’s recent decision to leave the mob, stop working for Sonny, and focus on his family, it’s time to bring Jake Webber back into the picture. Jason should be focusing on improving his relationship with both of his sons. And Port Charles could definitely use some more young characters.

Molly’s Romance Writing Career Change

It was a little shocking to find out that Molly had written a second book. And for a while, it seemed like she was going to be changing careers and becoming a bona fide romance author after the success of her book based on Cody.

But all of a sudden, she’s been pulled back into her legal duties and is prosecuting Curtis for assaulting Isaiah. It feels like the show abruptly decided to put her career change on hold and throw her right back into the DA’s office.

Molly is ready to move on, and viewers are ready to see her move on. Let the girl have her romance writing career.

Sasha And Daisy

It’s time for Michael’s other daughter to come home. Michael always wanted to be part of Daisy’s life, and Sasha only left because Daisy wasn’t safe at the Quartermaine estate.

Michael never followed up on finding proof that Willow was the one sneaking onto the property and messing with Daisy. But if he found that proof now, he could add it to the growing list of reasons why he should have full custody of the kids.

Daisy should grow up with her brother and sister, and Sasha was a good romantic interest for Michael. It’s time for them to come home.
