‘General Hospital’ fans are in store for an epic face-off between Carly (Laura Wright) and Jack (Chris McKenna) following Friday’s cliffhanger. Jack caught Carly cheating on him with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).
Although Jack didn’t see Valentin, he knows Carly’s a cheater now. McKenna and Wright have teased what’s to come, reassuring that fans of the ABC soap won’t be disappointed.

It’s been months in the making as Carly has been playing Jack like a fiddle after learning he recruited Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to be a WSB agent. Carly even teamed up with Jack’s nemesis, Valentin, to take him down, only to end up having a thing with Valentin.
Speaking with Soap Opera Digest, McKenna admitted that these two facing off has been a long time coming. Wright revealed that Jack comes at Carly hard at first, which just opened the floodgates of truth for Carly.
“She sees that he’s so angry and so worried about being cheated on… but not that he’s sorry for lying to her face or because her daughter is in danger because of him!” Wright explained, adding that Jack’s behavior leads Carly to put it all on the line.
McKenna added that Jack’s feelings were filled with rage, humiliation, and some devastation. Despite everything Jack has done, his feelings for Carly were the real deal, so her betrayal is soul-crushing to him.
“Jack’s feeling, and the best I could come up with is ‘heartrage’, heartbroken rage. That’s what it’s like for him in the moment. He’s thinking, ‘This can’t be real. This can’t have happened. I can’t be this stupid. I can’t have been this blind,” McKenna spilled.
While Jack is filled with heartrage, Wright insists the moment isn’t joyful for Carly. Even though Jack betrayed her by bringing Josslyn into the WSB, Carly did care about him, too. There are many emotions in the scenes as Carly and Jack face off over months of cheating and lies.
Despite the nature of the scenes, McKenna revealed that the writers did a bang-up job with the dialogue, while Wright and Stuart hit it out of the park with their performances. Yes, Valentin will be front and center for the aftermath, rather than leaving Carly to fend for herself.
They may be at odds on-screen, but off-screen, it’s a lovefest between the three soap stars. Wright also praised McKenna and Stuart for their performances.
‘General Hospital’ Stars Think Fans Will Be Happy With Jack and Carly Aftermath
When the scenes were done filming, McKenna admitted the three stars had a group hug and knew fans would be happy with this highly anticipated face-off.
“We talked about how we knew that was really special stuff we just did. I think the audience is going to love it,” stated the “One Life to Live” alum.
McKenna’s sentiment was echoed by Wright, who said, “I do think the fans are gonna love it. I just don’t know how much the Brennan and Carly fans are gonna love it!”
