Judge Heran Is Found Floating Near the Docks
ABCSonny arrives at Pier 55 after Rocco and Danny call him. They noticed a body floating in the water, and Danny’s father had always told him to call Sonny when he wasn’t available. Sonny tells them to call the police and waits with them for the authorities to arrive. Anna and Dante arrive and split up to investigate. Anna takes a statement from the boys and also talks to Sonny.
He explains that he wouldn’t have even been there if not for the boys calling him. He does point out that the body is located at a pier that is directly across from Sidwell’s home on Spoon Island. Anna tells him that she will likely circle back, and he tells her that next time he will have an attorney present. Dante also pulls Sonny aside and is reassured that his father would never intentionally have any violence around his grandson. Dante realizes that it is Judge Heran, who presided over Michael and Willow’s case, who is dead.
Liz Tells Carly That Willow and Drew Have Reunited
ABCElizabeth walks into Carly’s office just in time to hear her threaten to kill Drew. He had arrived to tell Carly all about how the judge in Michael’s custody case had accepted a bribe, and he was about to expose it. As Carly is forcing Drew to leave, he tells her that Willow has come back to him and that the kids will be living with them soon.
Carly turns to Liz and asks her if it is true about Willow. She confirms that it is, and that is precisely why she is there. She explains that Willow is desperate and now believes that the only way she can get her kids back is with Drew’s help. Liz explains that if Michael shows her a bit of grace and allows her visitation, then Willow will see proof that she can do this without the help of Drew.
Carly says that if Willow is going back to Drew, then she’ll get whatever she deserves. She then calls Michael to tell him what she has just learned. Instead of suggesting visitation, she tells Michael to stay the course. Michael has been discussing the whole mess with Kristina and how Drew has threatened him again. As they talk, Sonny calls to tell him that the judge is dead.
Meanwhile, at GH, Chase was excited to find Willow and to fill her in on the positive talk that he had with the judge. He tells her that she is already doing what she needs to to see her kids. Willow tells him about her plan to reunite with Drew to get custody. Chase tries to talk her out of it just as Drew appears. The two men clash, with Drew swinging insults as Chase focuses on Willow’s independence.
After Drew leaves, Chase returns and tells Willow that the judge has been murdered.
Drew, Is the One Big Regret That Several People Share
ABCDrew Cain has made himself the biggest enemy in town by systematically threatening and blackmailing his former friends. Portia and Nina have met up for a drink, with Nina needing to apologize immediately. She now realizes that if she had told the truth sooner, everyone would have been spared. She believes that Portia would never have been targeted if she had done the right thing.
Portia disagrees and takes ownership of the fact that her own lies are what have destroyed her marriage. She tells Nina that Curtis has left, and the irony is that her attempt to protect their daughter has destroyed the family. Speaking of Trina, she is with Kai, unsure of whether or not to trust him, but desperate, so she spills her guts. She tells him that Drew has blackmailed her mom, and Kai agrees to help. He knows that any proof would be at Drew’s house, and he has a key.
Meanwhile, Curtis pays Alexis a visit at home to thank her for getting Stella released on bail. She is cautiously optimistic because if the agents decide to investigate, Stella may have committed insurance fraud and she could ultimately end up in prison. She then shows Curtis the restraining order that Drew has on her to keep her from Scout. The two commiserate over how their former friend has become so evil, and they both believe that he should be dead.
Drew Is Shot in the Back, Twice
ABCKai and Trina arrive at Drew’s, and she watches the window as he tries to crack the safe in the bedroom. Drew’s car lights appear before Kai gets the safe open, and Trina joins him to hide in the dark room. Drew comes in, pours a drink, and starts thinking about his future with Willow. He is holding Lila’s ring and then puts it on the mantel next to a photo of himself with Willow. Out loud, he reassures Willow that everything will be just fine.
Drew has his back to the windows and door when a gunshot rings out. He falls face-first, revealing a bullet wound to his back. Someone walks into the dark room and fires a second shot into his back at close range. In the bedroom, Kai and Trina panic.
