Mark Consuelos Shares Spicy Personal Details About How ‘LIVE’ Is Affecting His Marriage With Kelly Ripa

Mark Consuelos got blunt and honest with “Scrubs” actress Christa Miller about his personal life with wife Kelly Ripa on the March 3 episode of the pair’s talk show, “LIVE with Kelly and Mark.” At Miller’s urging, Consuelos dived back into the details of how and when he and Ripa find the time to get intimate, a topic which the co-working couple touched on back in July 2025.

The 54-year-old revealed he and Ripa, 55, have been partaking in less “morning sex” than they used to, due to their schedules becoming more hectic since he became her cohost in April 2023. He previously said morning was his favorite time of day to make romance happen with his wife.

After Miller insisted Consuelos should put a stop to his morning seductions, declaring, “no one likes it, not even on the weekends,” Consuelos dished, “I’ve got to tell you, this job has really gotten in the way of that. It’s been the antidote for it.”

Considering the talk show airs weekday mornings at 9 a.m., it makes sense the cohosts wouldn’t have very much time to romp in the sheets beforehand.

However, one thing has freed up a bit of time in Mark and Kelly’s hectic mornings: the fact that their three children are now out of the house. Back in 2014, Ripa told Yahoo Beauty her mornings started at 6 a.m. so she could send them off to school. “My kids get me up way before my job does! I really do find that my job is the perfect job for a working mother because it allows me to take my kids to the bus, drop my youngest son off at school, and then be there to pick them up,” she explained.

She added that she’d arrive to the studio at 8, giving her an hour to get glammed before hopping on air.

Kelly Ripa Previously Revealed How She Keeps Her Long Marriage with Mark Consuelos Going

In a 2020 Oprah Daily interview, Ripa spoke about she and Consuelos, whom she wed in 1996, keep their longstanding relationship happy.

“You’re going to fight, you’re going to have disagreements. Relationships, marriages are not sprints, it’s a marathon,” the feature quotes her as saying.

She went on to advise that when you feel like quitting, “You just got to push through.” She explained she believes almost no relationship roadblock is truly insurmountable, telling the outlet, “I mean, besides abuse and things of that nature. You’re going to fight. You’re going to have disagreements. You’re going to fundamentally not agree on things. And if you take a breath, you usually can’t remember what you’re fighting about.”
