“The Young and the Restless” star Michelle Stafford can’t hide her excitement as two new cast members are set to join the show.
The Phyllis Summers portrayer took to Instagram to share throwback photos of herself with the newest addition to the “Y&R” family, Tamara Braun and Roger Howarth.
“I could not be happier to be posting this!” Stafford captioned the post. “Not only because these two are extra extraordinary actors, but because they are my friends!! Our show just got a little more bada**.”
The actress then hinted at what’s coming on the show, tagging Braun and Howarth. “Just so you know, more surprises to come. #YR #GETREADY.”

Meanwhile, fans were equally excited for Braun and Howarth’s debut on “The Young and the Restless.” One fan wrote, “I guess GH’s loss is Young & the Restless’s gain. I miss seeing all of you on GH’s screen.”
Another commented, “You and Roger were great together on GH. I hope we will see you in scenes together on Y&R. Can’t wait.”
Someone chimed in, “Omg! They’re coming to Y&R?!?! I’m sooooo gonna start watching.”
On the other hand, some predicted that Braun will play the new Summer Newman and that Howarth is her boyfriend.
A fan suggested, “The new Summer and her Italian boyfriend?” Another chimed in, “I’m so excited. I bet she will play Summer.”
There were also some who assumed Howarth’s new character could be a potential love match for Phyllis.
“Phyllis’ new love interest? Time for some romance,” one fan predicted.
Braun & Howarth’s ‘Y&R’ Roles
GettyIt is worth noting, though, that Braun’s character on “The Young and the Restless” has already been confirmed. The actress is set to portray the role of Sienna Bacall, a woman who has “personal connections to several characters” in Genoa City, according to People.
The outlet also reported that Braun will begin taping next week, with her debut coming this fall. Meanwhile, Howarth’s “Y&R” character is still a mystery, per Deadline.
Prior to her new “The Young and the Restless” gig, Braun played the roles of Dr. Kim Nero on “General Hospital,” Ava Vitali on “Days of Our Lives,” and Reese Williams on “All My Children.”
As for Howarth, he played the role of Paul Ryan on “As the World Turns,” Todd Manning on “One Life to Live,” and Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt on “General Hospital.”
