Major ‘Survivor’ Exhibit & Red Carpet Event Coming to New York City

Hype for the upcoming premiere of “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” just got even bigger as Entertainment Weekly revealed that a “major” exhibit, celebrating 25 years of “Survivor” will be coming to New York City’s Paley Museum just in time for the milestone season’s debut on Wednesday, February 25.

The first-of-its-kind installment, titled “Outwit, Outplay, Outlast: Celebrating 50 Seasons of ‘Survivor’” – which will grant fans the chance to get up-close and personal with some of the longrunning reality show’s iconic props – will open its doors just days before the premiere, on February 20, and will remain in place until May 31.

The Paley Museum Presents First-of-its-Kind ‘Survivor’ Exhibit

“This immersive exhibit will bring the show to life with memorable props and iconic artifacts spanning the series’ run, offering the unique opportunity to relive ‘Survivor’s most unforgettable moments and engage with the show in a whole new way,” read a statement from the Paley Museum, who will present the exhibit in collaboration with CBS, Pluto TV, and Amazon MGM Studios.

“Highlights of the experience for visitors will include Instagrammable moments with a ‘Survivor’ torch and the chance to take a seat at Tribal Council and re-enact the show’s dramatic votes; authentic outfits from host Jeff Probst and ‘Survivor’ castaways, as well as immunity idols and necklaces, a torch snuffer, and other rare game pieces; original sketches of legendary ‘Survivor’ props, logos, and sets; behind-the-scenes photos and videos highlighting the most memorable and impactful moments in the series’s history; screens of classic ‘Survivor’ episodes in the The Paley Museum’s Bennack Theater; and more,” the statement expanded.

While the exhibit will undoubtedly light the torch of any die-hard “Survivor” fan throughout the duration of Season 50, the Paley Museum similarly offers the chance for wannabee castaways to come face-to-face with the show’s illustrious host – as well as a handful of iconic former players – during a one-night-only red carpet event.

On Tuesday, February 24 – just one day before Season 50’s  three-hour primetime CBS debut – Probst and company will turn heads on the red carpet as they join crowds at the Paley Museum for the event, titled “The Tribe Has Spoken: An Evening with Jeff Probst and ‘Survivor 50’ Castaways,” which will additionally feature “an exclusive extended first look at the ‘Survivor 50’ premiere.”

The event will feature a panel with appearances from several castaways from the upcoming milestone season, including the likes of Aubry Bracco, Cirie Fields, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, Ozzy Lusth and Benjamin “Coach” Wade, as they engage in “an entertaining discussion about the new season, ‘Survivor’ secrets, and behind-the-scenes stories from the show’s unprecedented twenty-six-year run.”

At present, it remains unclear if the entirety of the Season 50 cast will be in attendance during the first-of-its-kind event, or if other series legends – like Probst’s personal “Mount Rushmore” of all-time best players (“Boston Rob” Mariano, Parvati Shallow, Sandra Diaz-Twine and Tony Vlachos) – will turn up to celebrate.

While more information on the Paley Museum’s exhibit and red carpet event are sure to follow in the coming weeks – as well as a padded out guest-list – tickets for both events will be available to the general public starting Sunday, January 25 at 12:00pm ET.

Current Paley Museum members will be able to access the “Outwit, Outplay, Outlast” exhibit for free as part of their memberships.
