Prince Harry Opens Up About Disney World Trip with Princess Diana

While Prince Harry is busy raising his own two kids these days, he’s also willing to look back on his childhood. That’s just what he did while remembering his trip to Disney World with his now-late mother, Princess Diana, and brother, Prince William.

Harry opened up about the trip while appearing “The Happiest Story on Earth: 70 Years of Disneyland — A Special Edition of 20/20,” on Sunday, September 21, according to People.

“I went with my mom and my brother,” he said, referring to Princess Diana and Prince William. While talking about the trip that took place back in 1993 when he was just eight years old, he added, “I remember it very, very well.”

“I remember losing it as a kid with all the characters,” he continued. “Like, losing it.”

Prince Harry isn’t the only one who went to a Disney Park when they were younger. His wife, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, was lucky enough to grow up near one.

During the Duchess of Sussex’s appearance on “The Happiest Story on Earth: 70 Years of Disneyland — A Special Edition of 20/20,” she brought up the fact that she was a “southern California girl” when she was young. Because of that, Disneyland was nearby and “more accessible” for her to reach.

Despite it being close, it was “still the biggest treat in the world,” according to the duchess.

Meghan also recalled her grad night, which involved heading to Disneyland after hours. In response to this tidbit, Harry told his wife, “I don’t even know why they let us do that! That sounds like a lot of fun. Can you do that in your forties?”

Harry & Meghan Took Archie & Lilibet to Disneyland

Back in June, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to make some Disney-related memories with their own kids, Archie and Lilibet. To celebrate Lilibet’s fourth birthday, the family spent two days at Disneyland.

Harry revealed that his children were more than a little thrilled when they first arrived at the park, saying, “They’re like, ‘This is amazing!’ Like, ‘Guys, this isn’t even the front of it. Prepare yourself. You’re about to be blown away.'”

“To see the kids throw themselves into these experiences when they have no idea what they’re walking into — it was amazing,” he also said. “And it brings out the kid in you again.”
