Niall Horan Hilariously Reads Aloud Social Media Comments About His Return to ‘The Voice’

With one week to go until Niall Horan returns to “The Voice,” returning as a coach after a year away, his fans are growing increasingly vocal online, eager for the season 28 Blind Auditions to begin.

On September 15, 2025, “The Voice” uploaded a hilarious video of Horan reading aloud some of the social media comments that have come in about his return. Even the hundreds of comments that came in about the former One Direction star reading the fan comments were pretty amusing and totally sweet.

Niall Horan Jokes to Fan That His Fellow Coaches are ‘Actually Nice’

Horan was a coach on two past seasons of “The Voice” in 2023 and, incredibly, won both. Champion Gina Miles was on Team Niall in season, and Huntley took home another win for Horan in season 24. Now back for season 28, he’ll be coaching alongside Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, and Reba McEntire.

Holding a tablet to read various viewer comments, Horan said, “Apparently, fans of ‘The Voice’ have a lot to say about my return. So, I’m gonna read some of the comments right now!”

Immediately looking puzzled, he read, “KING NIALL RETURNS” and then quipped, “I’m not sure about that, but yes, I did win two back-to-back seasons.”

Next up, Horan read aloud, “‘Oh, my God, Niall, you diva,'” and then smirked, “You’re right, I am.”

“‘I’m only watching for Niall,'” the next one said, to which Horan replied, “That’s not fair. Bublé is a nice guy, you know. Snoop. Reba.”

Horan amusingly acted out someone screaming in their message, “Ahhhhhhh, I love team Niall!” But he then countered, “You don’t know anyone on the team yet! But I’m glad you’re interested.”

The pop star read the next one — “Respectfully, all I care about is Niall” — and chuckled, “The others are nice people, I swear. I know some of them don’t come across that well, but — but they’re actually nice.”

After sharing a few more fan comments, including a funny meme about his oh-so-serious skincare routine, Horan deadpanned, “And we have a … a comment from someone with a blue check called Michael Bublé.”

Horan read the comment aloud, “My favorite Horan is back! It’s the return of the Irish king. The world is healing.”

Laughing, Horan said, “I’ve known this guy for way too long, and he feels that he can just comment on stuff like this. But, yes, his favorite Horan is back and it is the return of me. The world is healing.”

Horan previously posted a cute meme with a current photo of him and Bublé, and one from the day the two first met at an airport in 2012.

Once Horan was done reading all the kind comments he could handle, his fans — whom he calls Lovers — flooded him with even more, responding on every platform where “The Voice” posted the video.

Someone on Instagram wrote, “I’m sorry Niall but we’re literally watching because of you. ❤️”

Another quipped, “The Niall Army shows up for the King 👑 😍🔥😂”

One fan on YouTube said Horan had inspired them to try out for the show, writing, “Niall, you are the reason I’m auditioning for the voice this week. I have been scared to put myself out there, but you have inspired me and encouraged in more ways than you could ever understand. I love you and your music so much. You are a part of the person I am today. Thank you for the amazing 2 love shows I got to see last summer. It was a dream!”

Another cheered, “Excited to watch #TeamNiall go 3 for 3! Other coaches don’t stand a chance. Let’s go!!!!!”

Though all the Lovers clearly already know this, “The Voice” season 28 premieres on September 22 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
