Reba McEntire’s ‘Happy’s Place’ Adds TV Legends to Season 2 Cast

Reba McEntire’s sitcom “Happy’s Place” is turning up the star power for season 2.

When the NBC comedy returns this fall, viewers can expect not only more laughs from McEntire and her co-stars, but also guest appearances from beloved TV icons including Christopher Lloyd, Carol Kane, and Cheri Oteri. It’s all setting the stage for a season packed with surprises, nostalgia, and maybe even a little romance.

While fans of “Happy’s Place” were excited to hear that NBC renewed the show for a second season, they are going to be even more excited to see that “The Voice” coach Reba McEntire is going to be joined by some big names for guest roles this upcoming season.

The guest stars for season 2 will feature Christopher Lloyd from “Taxi” and “Back to the Future,” “Taxi” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” star Carol Kane, and “Saturday Night Live” alum Cheri Oteri.

For their guest roles, Entertainment Weekly said Oteri will play Monica, a no-nonsense health inspector who doesn’t cut corners. This could definitely cause some issues for Reba McEntire’s Bobbie when she shows up at “Happy’s Place.”

It will be a “Taxi” reunion for Lloyd and Kane, as they reunite onscreen as husband and wife on “Happy’s Place.”

For this reunion, Lloyd will play Clive, who loses his phone at the bar and comes back to get it. Kane will play Theresa, who is said to be a free spirit chasing justice, excitement, and her husband.

Season 1 Left Fans Hanging

Fans of “Happy’s Place” were hoping to see Bobbie and Emmett, played by Rex Linn, Reba’s real-life boyfriend, go from friends to lovers in season 1. However, fans were left hanging, as the finale hinted at a possible romance between the two characters, but they stopped short of making it official.

In a teaser video shared by Linn and McEntire, we can see Linn dropping some hints about the upcoming season.

Linn says, “There’s rumors that maybe Emmett and Bobbie get together. We don’t know that for a fact,” as Reba McEntire looked on from the background.

He adds, “But it would be great for Bobbie if she was with Emmett. I mean, that’s how I look at it.”

“Happy’s Place” debuted in October 2024. NBC picked it up for a full season the following month.

Season 2 of “Happy’s Place” will premiere on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
