Former “The Voice” coach Camila Cabello has had an impressive career, and she has proven herself as a talented vocalist. But she also has a great personality, which was on display when she made a bride’s big day extra special.
Camila Cabello Gives a Bride a Cherished Memory
A video posted on TikTok tells the story of what happened when bride Kelli Murray had a chance encounter with Cabello at a hotel bar in Iowa on Friday, September 19. When chatting to the star, Murray revealed that she was going to use her song, “First Man,” for her father-daughter dance. What Cabello did next was remarkably kind. She offered to perform the song live for the wedding the next day.
Footage of Cabello was shared on TikTok and showed her giving a speech to the crowd. In it, she discussed how much she loved her own dad and why she was “really honored” to perform at the wedding. “‘First Man’ is a very special song to me. It’s a song that I wrote about my dad and about, you know, the moment that I get married,” she said. “I have not been married yet, I wonder if this will be my father-daughter dance [song].”
She continued, “We kind of planned this, and it was kind of a little last-minute thing that we put together.”
Cabello shared that she was a “daddy’s girl” and discussed the critical role a father plays in his daughter’s life. “I’m such a daddy’s girl and I feel like your dad, if you’re lucky, is your first love, your first hero — the man that kind of sets the stage for the next man in your life,” she explained.
Fans Praise Camila Cabello for Her Act of Kindness

Fans have reacted to the post with messages praising Cabello for her kind gesture. “That was the universe having them meet at the hotel,” a fan wrote. “I’m no a fan of her music, but I’m a fan her she seems humble and sweet,” another person shared.
A third commenter wrote, “What class. This is amazing.”
Some questioned how much the performance cost. “Iowa? How much did this cost?” a comment reads. The woman who made the TikTok videos, and identifies as Murray’s cousin, replied to the question, writing, “She did it out of the goodness of her heart. Met my cousin by chance and stopped by her wedding. It was pure magic.”
