Joseph Duggar‘s wife Kendra Duggar is reportedly sheltering from the media after the recent turmoil that began with her husband Joseph Duggar’s arrest on March 18. People reported on March 27 that the former TLC star and has been “whisked away” to a private location following the recent onslaught of media attention.
People says they learned from a source close to the family that Kendra and Joseph’s home was being inspected based on concerns from their children’s safety related to the discovery of “locks being on the exterior of the doors.” The outlet says the source made sure to note that the concerns around Kendra were not related to Joseph Duggar’s current situation.
Kendra Duggar Said She Has a ‘Good Place to Stay’ Amid Media Frenzy
In a March 20 phone call to her husband, Kendra said, “They’ve got me a good place to stay that’s very private.” The call became public information because, in a polarizing practice, many states and counties, including Washington County in Arkansas, release all phone calls that are deemed to fall under the broad and permissive scope of an FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request.
Several of Joseph Duggar’s Siblings Have Spoken Out
Following the recent headlines surrounding Joseph, several of his famous siblings have weighed in on the matter.
Those who have spoken include his sister Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo. Jeremy, a Santa Clarita, California based pastor, said on the couple’s podcast, “We really wanted to just take a moment to let you know how we’re processing this. This was devastating news to hear. When we got the news last week… It’s been a really difficult week of trying to process this. A week of us crying out to the Lord, asking for mercy and grace for those affected by this.”
Jason, Jim Bob and Michelle’s 12th child, also spoke out in a joint statement with his wife, Maddie, to say, “We, like many, have spent the week completely shocked, confused and grieved to list a few emotions.” He also asked for prayers.
Joseph & Kendra Duggar Got Married in 2017
Joseph, the 7th child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, married Kendra Caldwell in September 2017. The Duggar family’s official Instagram account shared a post at the time with the caption, “Joe and Kendra had such a beautiful wedding day with each detail being looked after. We are so happy to share more photos of the incredible day!”
The couple shared their family’s milestones on their own Instagram page up until they abruptly stopped posting in 2021. Those updates included the births of three children.
