The Big Brother 28 house is reconsidering its options after Kamu made his Power of Veto decision and left Lala’s nominations unchanged.
On the Aug. 10 Rob Has a Podcast live feed update, Taran Armstrong and guest Brian Scally recapped Day 34 as houseguests continued navigating Lala’s Head of Household reign. Lala nominated Barrett, Chuk and Haley, with Haley initially positioned as the primary target.
Kamu later won the Power of Veto but decided not to use it, leaving all three nominees on the block heading toward the next eviction.
However, Armstrong and Scally explained that Haley’s departure may not be as certain as it once appeared.
Big Brother 28 Houseguests Reconsider Eviction Target
Several players have started discussing whether keeping Haley could ultimately benefit their games.
According to Armstrong and Scally, Taylor and Lala considered the possibility of keeping Chuk if they believe he could help target the returning players. At the same time, the pair also discussed scenarios where Barrett could become the person leaving instead.
Lala has expressed interest in keeping returning players Dee Valladares and Angela Murray around until jury, creating another factor in her decision-making.
Dee and Angela are also considering their own futures.
The pair discussed Taylor and Lala as potential targets while evaluating which of this week’s nominees would be most beneficial to keep. They also weighed the advantages and disadvantages of allowing Haley to remain in the competition.
With different groups reaching different conclusions, the final vote remains more fluid than Lala’s original nominations suggested.

Kamu’s position has also become an important part of the week’s strategy.
After securing the Veto, Kamu chose to keep the nominations intact. His relationships throughout the house remain difficult for some players to read, especially as he continues conversations with Dee.
Armstrong and Scally discussed Dee’s attempts to strengthen her connection with Kamu, although their conversations have also introduced new questions about trust.
Scally additionally questioned how the house has responded to Kamu changing allegiances compared to the criticism Lyric received for similar strategic flexibility before her eviction.
Meanwhile, Melody and Mallory have begun paying closer attention to Kamu’s developing relationship with Angela. The pair discussed potentially targeting both players if they gain power in the future.
Taylor is also emerging as someone other houseguests may increasingly view as a strategic threat. Armstrong highlighted her efforts to create more opposition toward the returning players as the house separates into smaller groups rather than two clearly defined sides.
Despite the constant strategy conversations, the houseguests still found opportunities for lighter moments.
The FAP alliance participated in what Armstrong and Scally described as a backyard “rock and almond ceremony” intended to bring prosperity, while Dee and Yash provided another memorable moment involving their toes.
Those moments offered some levity during a week where nearly every relationship appears open to reevaluation.
With Kamu leaving the nominations unchanged, Barrett, Chuk and Haley now have to navigate the days leading into eviction. What initially appeared to be a straightforward plan against Haley has developed into several possible outcomes.
As Armstrong and Scally discussed, the increasingly divided groups could make the next Head of Household competition particularly important. With players already considering future targets and new partnerships, Lala’s HOH may ultimately help set up another significant shift in the Big Brother 28 house.
