A former “Big Brother” houseguest is celebrating a major step in her career journey and is sharing what comes next.

Hannah Chaddha, who appeared on season 23, revealed on March 29 that she had officially completed her third year of medical school.

“I start my last year of school ever on Monday & will be Dr. Chaddha, MD by this time next year yay,” she wrote on X.

Chaddha, 25, followed up her initial post with more details about what the milestone means to her.

“The fact I get to help alleviate pain intra-/post-operatively, be a source of safety & comfort for my patients, integrate physiology + pharmacology + real-time problem solving, and be in the OR for the rest of my life… how did I get so lucky🥹,” she wrote while also thanking everybody for their support.

Her latest update comes as a complement to a May 2023 appearance on fellow BB23 houseguest Kyland Young’s podcast, “Connections With Kyland.” She shared she had wanted to become a doctor since she was just five years old.

During that conversation with her fellow “The Cookout” alliance member, Chaddha said her path to medical school had been years in the making. Before “Big Brother,” she said she was in the middle of a master’s program of biomedical ethics, studying for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), working, dancing, and keeping up with the show as a fan. She also said her time on “Big Brother” delayed medical school by about a year.

Chaddha also spoke on the podcast about shadowing anesthesiologists during college and said she was drawn to the trust patients place in their care teams. She described that exchange as meaningful and said connecting with future patients was what she most looked forward to in medicine.

“The patient really has to put a lot of trust in to their clinical team … and that exchange to me is beautiful,” she said at the time.
