‘Below Deck Med’ Makes History With Its First Matchmaking Charter

Over the years, Bravo’s “Below Deck Mediterranean” has welcomed a wide range of charter guests, from high-profile families to groups of friends looking for a once-in-a-lifetime luxury getaway.

For season 10, the series sees a first when one primary guest decides to turn his trip into a full-blown matchmaking experience. Bringing along his personal matchmaker and six potential love interests, Captain Sandy Yawn and her crew are also heavily invested and interested to see who he ends up finding a romantic connection with once he disembarks.

‘Below Deck Med’ Transforms Into the Love Boat for a Matchmaking Charter

On the Nov. 10 episode of “Below Deck Med” season 10, the crew prepares for a charter unlike any other — a full-on matchmaking experience. Primary guest Joe boards the Bravado alongside his personal matchmaker Amy, ready to meet six potential love interests and, with any luck, leave the yacht with more than just great memories.

“We’ve never done one like this before,” Captain Sandy Yawn excitedly tells her crew.

The crew is more invested than ever as they watch Joe’s journey to find love and see if there are any sparks with any of the ladies. In fact, Bosun Nathan Gallagher is extremely interested, even snooping on Joe having a conversation with one of the women. “I’ve never seen anything like this charter. I can’t stop watching it. It’s just absolutely insane, and I’m loving every minute of it,” he shares to the cameras.

Some of the ladies show off their unique skills, like Leah, who sings an opera in front of Joe. However, after the first day on charter, Joe lets go of two women, and chief stew Aesha Scott is surprised at who he chooses, including saying goodbye to Leah. The crew has learned that one woman, named Anna, isn’t there for love, making it clear that she is just happy to be on a multi-million-dollar yacht.

“I’m just here for the yacht at the end of the day,” she shares with deckhand Max Salvador. “I’m not really here for the guy. I have plenty of those in New York.”

In fact, rather than take an interest in Joe, she makes Salvador take selfies of her throughout the charter. “Anna, she was like, saying disgusting things. And she’s not even leaving? I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen,” he says.

In the following episode, which airs on Nov. 17, a teaser shows the remaining women playing a game of “Never Have I Ever” with Joe. Interestingly, Anna admits to doing just about everything. Meanwhile, Joe shares his first kiss with another lucky lady.

‘Below Deck Med’ Welcomed A New ‘Bossy’ Stew

The Nov. 10 episode also introduced a new stewardess on the “Below Deck Med” crew after Captain Sandy made major changes on board, letting go of two team members and moving Victoria SanJuan from stew to deckhand.

As Cathy Skinner came on board, both Salvador and new deckhand Joe Bradley admitted to being instantly attracted to her. But stew Kizzi Kitchener saw her as competition. Skinner arrived with years of experience and served as a chief steward for 2 years on another boat.

Speaking to the cameras, Skinner described her work ethic: “I’m the epitome of a yacht stew because I am bossy, organized, I’m a clean freak, but I’m also super glamorous. With me, it’s extra or nothing at all.”

As Skinner and Kitchener worked in cabins together, tensions quickly surfaced when Kitchener began feeling bossed around. To make matters worse, she chose not to tell Skinner that her skirt had a rip in the back as she served dinner to the guests.

Things look set to heat up in the next episode when Kitchener is seen kissing Salvador in the hot tub, a move that’s sure to sting Skinner, who had shared he admired how he had paid attention to her.
