Brielle Biermann is clearing up an awkward wedding dress coincidence after sharing a video of herself wearing the same Vera Wang gown influencer Brigette Pheloung wore to her wedding days later.
Social media influencer and reality television star Brielle Biermann has opened up to set the record straight following a recent video that caused some controversy online.
Biermann, who is the oldest daughter of former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak-Biermann and sister of Ariana Biermann, recently shared a video on Instagram of her wedding dress shopping. During the video, she can be seen wearing a specific dress that she turned down but that was later worn by Acquired Style’s Brigette Pheloung in her marriage ceremony just a few days later.

The timing of the post being so close to Pheloung’s wedding to Mitch McHale in Newport, Rhode Island, led to accusations online that Biermann had purposely posted it to grab attention. However, she has now denied this, claiming she had no idea that the marriage ceremony was even taking place.
“Guys, I had no idea Brigette was wearing that dress,” she explained in an Instagram Story that is no longer available but was reported by People.
Biermann went on to say that her video had been scheduled in advance and insisted she wasn’t trying to overshadow Pheloung’s big moment. Pheloung’s playful response also suggested there were no hard feelings between the pair, with the influencer posting a comment that read “brielles second choice >>>.”
The video itself showed 29-year-old BIermann posing in the Vera Wang dress while getting an emotional but positive reaction from her mother and sister. Although she ultimately chose a different wedding dress, she explained that she still loves the dress.
Further addressing the controversy, Biermann wrote, “She clearly has great taste that she went with Vera Wang for her dress” before adding a message directly to Pheloung to express her hope that she enjoyed her day.
Brielle Biermann’s Wedding Moves Closer
Biermann’s own wedding to her fiancé, Billy Seidl, continues to approach. The pair became engaged in February 2024 and the couple have often shared details of their journey. This includes sharing videos of themselves touring wedding venues across Florida.
However, they have kept some details of the upcoming ceremony secret, including the exact date and location. Biermann has simply stated that the wedding will be happening soon. But they have released some important information. For example, Ariana Biermann has confirmed that she will be her sister’s maid of honor for the wedding.
Speaking in an interview with Bravo’s Daily Dish, Ariana explained that her sister has picked her venue but has chosen not to rush the engagement to quickly get married. “She kind of just wants it all to be perfect,” Ariana said. “It’s just putting together a whole board of everything she wants, and then we’re gonna get to planning it soon.”
