Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor marked their son Cruz Cauchi’s 5th birthday with separate celebrations, sharing moments from their day with fans on social media.
The former Bravo couple, who are currently navigating their divorce, each posted tributes highlighting their time with Cruz. Their updates offered a look at how they continue to co-parent while celebrating a milestone for their son.
Brittany Cartwright Shares Cruz’s Birthday Party Tribute
Cartwright took to Instagram on April 12 to celebrate Cruz with a series of photos spanning his childhood, including images from a recent farm-themed birthday party.
“The Valley” star transformed her backyard into a setting inspired by her Kentucky roots. The party included a ball pit, a bouncy house, and a variety of food for guests.
In the caption, Cartwright shared a message dedicated to her son.
“Mommy loves you so much, and I am so proud of you every single day! You are pure magic and light up everyone’s life that knows you,” Cartwright wrote. “You are so beautiful, so smart, so talented, so unique, and soooooo wonderful!! I am beyond blessed to be your mommy.”
She continued, “I can’t believe how fast time flies. You make me a better and happier person every single day. I love you so much Cruz!”
‘The Valley’ Fans Question Taylor’s Birthday Outing With Cruz
Taylor also documented his time with Cruz, sharing photos on his Instagram Stories from their day together.
One image showed the former “The Valley” star kneeling behind Cruz as they looked at fish in an aquarium. Cruz was diagnosed with autism in August 2024.
“Best day with my best bud,” Taylor wrote.
Taylor followed with another image of the two sitting together at lunch, where they were seen drinking from straws.
“My 5 year old,” he captioned the post alongside a balloon emoji.
The outing later drew attention online after viewers speculated about the restaurant location based on details in the photos. Some social media users suggested the pair had visited Hooters.
“Jax took Cruz to Hooters for his 5th birthday. I get that Brittany has connections there, so maybe it’s like a family thing…” one fan wrote.
“But as a mom, this is weird, right?” another added.
A separate commenter shared, “Jax loves hooters…possibly he’s making this about him and his preferences (just like everything else) and not ‘My son’s?’ Wild guess.”

Cartwright recently discussed her co-parenting relationship with Taylor during an appearance on “The Valley After Show.”
She said their dynamic changes depending on the day.
“Some days are good and just fine,” Cartwright explained. “Other days are just the same.”
Cartwright added that she has not yet visited Taylor’s new home but stays involved in ensuring Cruz’s comfort.
“But I make him send me videos before I let Cruz go over there,” she said. “And he does have, like, a nice room and a nice playroom for Cruz.”
She continued, “And he comes over to my house sometimes, and I’ve caught him taking some toys out of my house to take over there. And I’m just like, ‘Just buy your own.’ But whatever; it’s for my son, so I don’t care. But he’s definitely trying when it comes to that.”
