“The Valley” star Brittany Cartwright is celebrating a major birthday year for her son, Cruz, who turned 5 on April 12. The Bravo star pulled out all the stops for Cruz, as she surprised him and his guests with an extravagant farm-themed birthday party at their home in California.
Cartwright shares Cruz with her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, from whom she separated in January 2024. While Taylor doesn’t appear to have attended his son’s birthday celebration, he marked the occasion on Instagram with a sweet post of his own dedicated to Cruz.

“The Valley” star Brittany Cartwright shared a heartwarming birthday post dedicated to her son, Cruz, who just turned five.
Sharing several photos of Cruz, including a snap of mother and son in matching checkered outfits, Cartwright wrote, “Happy 5th Birthday Cruzy!!! Mommy loves you so much and I am so proud of you every single day! You are pure magic and light up everyone’s life that knows you.”
She continued, ” You are so beautiful, so smart, so talented, so unique, and soooo wonderful!! I am beyond blessed to be your Mommy. 🥰 I can’t believe how fast time flies. You make me a better and happier person every single day. I love you so much Cruz!! ❤️”
Cartwright’s “The Valley” co-star also shared sweet sentiments to celebrate Cruz’s milestone birthday. “Sweet angel ❤️” Janet Caperna said. “Big boy! ❤️😍 happy birthday Cruzy! We love you,” Jasmine Goode wrote. “Happy birthday Cruzy!!! ❤️” Michelle Saniei commented.
Posting the celebrations on her Instagram Story, Cartwright celebrated her son’s big day with a farm-themed party, which saw her backyard totally transform with a big red barn, balloons, and real-life animals for Cruz and his friends to play with.
Cartwright’s guests sat at a beautifully styled outdoor table featuring checkered patterns and colorful florals, with each place setting topped with a stuffed farm animal as a thank-you gift. The Bravo star also showcased her son’s two-tiered birthday cake, decorated with barn animals on the bottom layer and cow-print details on the top.
Jax Taylor Shares Separate Birthday Post in Honor of Cruz’s Birthday
Jax Taylor dedicated an Instagram post celebrating Cruz turning five years old, sharing some of his favorite moments with him, including a photo of father and son playing in the pool, a snapshot of a much-younger Cruz smiling at his dad, and a sweet photo of Taylor and Cruz snuggling in the grass.
His caption was extremely touching and from the heart as it read, “I can’t believe you’re already five. You have brought more love and laughter and meaning to my life than you can ever possibly imagine, especially these past two years. Every time we are together it’s the best part of my life.”
“Being your dad is the greatest gift I have ever had. I am beyond proud of you- your strength, your big heart and the way you see the world amazes me every single day. You make me want to be better every day,” he continued.

Taylor’s post comes just weeks after he broke his social media silence on April 2, sharing a very meaningful post on Instagram dedicated to World Autism Awareness Month.
