Craig Conover Makes Fans Swoon With First Look at Upcoming Film Role

Craig Conover has fans swooning after giving them their first look at his upcoming film role.

The “Southern Charm” star shared a still from the indie dramedy “Caroline Fletcher” on Instagram, giving followers a glimpse of the character he will play.

Conover kept the post simple, offering little explanation alongside the image.

“Meet ‘Marcus,’” he captioned the post.

Fans Can’t Get Enough

That was enough to get his followers talking.

The Bravo personality’s new look immediately caught the attention of fans, many of whom filled the comments with reactions to his appearance.

“Oh lord in heaven 🔥 I have seen the light 🔥 and it is good. Dang… I need another glass of water,” one wrote.

Another added, “Excuse me??? Marcus had NO business looking this good.”

“Craig. I’m married.. please stop.”

“Okayyyy Marcus… 🔥 🥵suddenly I’m VERY invested in this character,” one joked.

Others couldn’t get over Conover’s longer hair.

“Maybe we should keep the long hair..”

“Craig… I mean…ahem MARCUS…DAMN”

“I love this. You honestly have totally transformed and look amazing,” another added. “Do you think we will be see more scripted stuff???”

“Craig is here to stay. I am here for it,” someone else noted.

Conover’s move into scripted entertainment comes after more than a decade in reality television.

He has starred on Bravo’s “Southern Charm” since the series premiered in 2014 and has remained one of the show’s most recognizable cast members.

He has also appeared on other Bravo programs, including “Summer House” and “Winter House.” More recently, Conover stepped outside the traditional reality TV format when he appeared as a guest judge on Season 23 of “Top Chef,” which was set in the Carolinas.

The Film Recently Wrapped

Now, he is taking on a scripted role in “Caroline Fletcher,” which has already wrapped production in Massachusetts, according to The Hollywood Reporter

The film comes from director Ellyn Vander Wyden, with a screenplay by Daniel Blum. Conover joins a cast that includes “Schitt’s Creek” actor Chris Elliott, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” star Caroline Aaron, Drew Van Acker, Katrina Bowden and Kayla Anjali.

“Caroline Fletcher” centers on an 11-year-old girl growing up in a working-class environment while navigating crime and family troubles.

After her mother is arrested and a local bully threatens what remains of her family, the girl turns to an ambitious scheme to protect the people she loves.

Details about Conover’s Marcus remain under wraps, leaving fans with little more than the first image to speculate about his part in the story.

Conover Has Been Busy

The film is also part of a new chapter professionally for Conover. Before taking on the movie role, he signed with Innovative Artists Entertainment for representation across all areas.

Away from television, Conover has built a business empire through Sewing Down South, the lifestyle brand he founded around his longtime passion for sewing.

The business became a major storyline during the early years of “Southern Charm” and eventually grew into an e-commerce operation with retail partnerships across the country.

With his latest post, Conover appears ready to add another credit to his résumé. And if the fan reaction is any indication, viewers are already very interested in meeting Marcus.
