Erika Jayne confirmed her relationship with boyfriend John McPhee is “still going” during a recent appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.” The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star shared a brief update on her dating life while making it clear she plans to keep most details private.
Jayne appeared on the February 5 episode of “Watch What Happens Live” and laughed when host Andy Cohen asked about her relationship status.
“It’s still going,” she said.
She also revealed that McPhee has not met anyone from the RHOBH cast.

Jayne’s comments align with what she previously told Us Weekly in December.
“No, no one’s met him,” she told the outlet. “I kind of like it like that because I like him. I know how bad these things are for your relationship. I’ve gone through too much on this. I would like to keep that relationship special and over here if I could.”
During a January 15 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Dorit Kemsley admitted she felt hurt that Jayne shared news of her relationship with Kyle Richards first.
“When I heard that I felt like, ‘Oh geez. Why didn’t she tell me?’ But I guess, it is what it is,” Kemsley said.
Kemsley also addressed the situation during a confessional in season 15 of RHOBH.
“Erika’s one of my closest friends,” she said. “Yet, she didn’t tell me, or Kyle, about this new man that she’s dating. It’s hurtful, yes, but Erika does things in her own way, and we just accept it.”
Jayne later offered more insight on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show.”
“I still see him, and he’s great,” she said. “And I’m having a great time.”
RHOBH Star Reflects on Dating John McPhee
Jayne and McPhee went on two dates before their relationship became public. She discussed that moment on her “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast in July 2025.
“I met someone, and we went out on two dates, and then we went to get a manicure-pedicure,” she said. “What was a nice, private moment and a nice, private thing I was having for myself was ruined.”
She described McPhee as a “nice man” and said she felt “comfortable” holding his hand in public. “I enjoy my time with him,” she confirmed.
Jayne also shared that McPhee has traveled with her, spent time with her son Tommy, and that they are taking their relationship slowly. She acknowledged she is still legally married to estranged husband Tom Girardi and said she remains unsure about marriage in the future.
“I don’t want to give anybody these problems,” she admitted on the “RHOBH After Show.”
During season 15, episode 9, Jayne told Bozoma Saint John she had spoken with her “sweetheart” earlier that day. When Saint John noted media coverage of the relationship, Jayne explained McPhee is “used to a different thing,” referencing his background as a retired U.S. Army Special Operations Sergeant Major.
“Why do I like dating John? I like dating John because he’s just not shakable,” she said. “I’ve seen men want to talk to me and then realize, ‘Oh, that’s that woman. No. I’m not getting involved with that.’ And I cannot blame them. I wouldn’t either.”
Erika Jayne’s Boyfriend’s Background and Career
McPhee is known for his professional relationship with Heidi Montag, having worked on her private security team for years. He is also a godfather to her son, Gunner.
Before entering private security, McPhee served in the U.S. Army and retired in 2011 as a Special Operations Sergeant Major, according to Swoon. He later founded Sheriff of Baghdad, a company offering merchandise and video diagnostics training in special shooting.
Jayne, who was previously married to Girardi for more than 20 years, has spoken about age-gap relationships in the past. McPhee is reportedly 54, the same age as Jayne.
