Ferrier was fired from “Below Deck Mediterranean” in 2020 following a drug scandal. Captain Sandy Yawn discovered that the chief stew had taken undeclared valium and a CBD vape pen onboard The Wellington. Ferrier. Regulations dictate all medications need to be checked in with the captain of the vessel before they set sail.
“It’s not something I was hiding,” she said at the time. “It wasn’t like I went on and I was like, ‘Ooh, I have this Valium. I can’t let anyone see it.’ To me, it’s just anti-anxiety medication. I made the mistake of not clearing it when I brought it on the boat.”
Since then, Ferrier has concentrated on her family. The reality television star had Ava the same year and at the end of 2020 became engaged to Josh Roberts. The pair had met between seasons 4 and 5 of the hit reality series when Ferrier returned home to her native Australia.
She Has Been Outspoken in Recent Years
In 2024, Ferrier made comments suggesting that she was bored with the current cast of “Below Deck Mediterranean” when replying to an Instagram post. She wrote, “Augh. I get why you try replace me every season” alongside a snoozing emoji, making her thoughts on the matter clear.
Meanwhile, fellow “Below Deck” star Aesha Scott defended Ferrier and labelled the firing situation “shady.” Scott, who was drafted in to replace Christine “Bugsy” Drake after her promotion to chief stew as the new second stew, explained that she felt Malia White was “pretty shady to take a photo of Hannah’s medication and send it to Sandy.”
