Brittany Cartwright opened up about her relationship with Lori Krebs, her former publicist who is now reportedly dating her ex-husband, Jax Taylor. And on the same day, Taylor gave an update of his own.
During an August 5 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Cartwright revealed she was close friends with Krebs up until the moment she found out about her relationship with Taylor and considered her to be like “family” to her and her 5-year-old son, Cruz.
The Bravo TV personality told host Andy Cohen that she received a text from Krebs shortly before TMZ posted photos of the publicist and Taylor vacationing together in Mexico last month.
“She sent me a text message the morning of two hours before the TMZ photos came out and let me know that things had changed,” Cartwright shared. “And that she knows I will feel betrayed, and that she loves me and Cruz, and that she’s never told Jax anything.”

On WWHL, Cartwright, who is a star on “The Valley,” revealed that Krebs was her publicist up until the day she sent her the text.
“She was still my publicist,” Cartwright revealed. “She was still getting a retainer for me, still making 10 percent of things for me. She was still my friend, my family basically. I had just invited her to Fourth of July cookout at my house, and now they’re trying to say that we haven’t been friends for a year and a half.”
Last week, Taylor responded to a commenter on Instagram who questioned his relationship with one of Cartwright’s “closest friends.” “They haven’t been close, barely talked in last year and a half,” Taylor claimed of Cartwright and Krebs. “Brittany was never a friend to Lori,” he added.
On WWHL, Cartwright told Cohen that Krebs was with her the last time she was on his show.
“That was in April,” she said. “To try to flip the image and make them look better… It’s never going to look better. What she did, I expect it from Jax. I don’t care if Jax dates somebody. Move on. Like, leave me alone. It’s what she did. She was my family member, you know, the person I went to. … I cried on her shoulders.”
Cartwright expressed dismay over the fact that her former friend and colleague chose Taylor over “all of her friendships” and career and described the situation as “so, so heartbreaking.”
Cartwright noted that she is in communication with Taylor on their parenting app.
Jax Taylor Says He Is in Love
BravoWhile Krebs worked as Taylor and Cartwright’s publicist for years, a source told Us Weekly that things changed when Taylor and Krebs supported one another “through some of the most difficult periods of their lives.”
“What began as a longstanding friendship gradually evolved into a relationship. There was never a romantic relationship before that,” the insider claimed.
As Cartwright opened up about finding out about the romance, Taylor revealed he is in love.
“I love [Krebs] to death,” he said on Aug. 5, according to Page Six. “You can’t help who you fall in love with. Everybody deserves to find happiness. I’m in the happiest place I’ve ever been, and I couldn’t be happier right now. My mental health has been so amazing since I’ve been with her. I’m with somebody who I love very much, and she’s good for me.”
Taylor also admitted that Cartwright has “every right” to be upset about the situation and noted that he has gone through “countless amounts of rehab and…mental health” treatments since their split in 2024.
Krebs has not spoken out.
